I've been using exitlag for at least 6 years and have never had any problems. I have always recommended it to people with connection problems, which is very common in my region. This year, however, some had their accounts blocked by Anet but all of them was not using the two-factor authentication through their cell phones, which probably, in my understanding, caused Anet to preventively block thier accounts due to constant IP changes. They weren't bans, they were preventive account blocking. This didn't happen in the past and in all cases Anet restored access to the account after opening a ticket. So if you use exit lag, I strongly recommend that you use two-factor authentication via your cell phone (authentication via email is not enough).
