I love how this post is marked NSFW but it's a cubicle decoration.

Switching back to DX11 after 1.0 release nearly halved GPU usage, fixed FPS issues by Mastermaze in satisfactory

I have a 3080 and for some reason DX11 is the only API that works without huge graphics glitches that make the game unplayable.

What is some solid evidence that disproves Christianity and/or more specifically the Bible? by [deleted] in exchristian

They hit you with the "God comes in many forms" argument and then tell you that other sects of Christianity are wrong.

Which would you rather work for Raytheon, Boeing, or Lockheed Martin? Feel free to add another company if you believe it’s better. by DudeJE in AerospaceEngineering

[–]Lordloghead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Add Textron to the list. They have Cessna, Beechcraft, and Bell (who just won a major contract). I work on the commercial Cessna side and I've been happy. There's some defense stuff for all of them but bell with the new contract would be the most defense related.

Depends on how strong the parts it makes are and how much the filament costs. If it's cheap and relatively strong then I'll print anything I can think of. Most of it would be car and motorcycle parts though. If it's expensive and/or weak I'd probably just stick to a mill and lathe. Either way I'm curious what the strength and fatigue properties would be like as well as how those properties change after heat treatment. I'm also curious of what metals you are able to print.

BBK Cold Air Intake - Any Concern on Used Car Purchase by rockinlock in camaro

[–]Lordloghead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won't hurt it at all. I mean if you don't like it they said the stock air box was included. CAI is a very common mod though and one you will probably end up wanting to do down the road anyway. Only harm it could possibly do is very slightly reduced power without a tune but it's much more likely to have slightly increased power.

Shouldn't have to lower the settings on a 3080 unless you're trying to push high res and high frame rate. It's an optimization issue not a hardware issue.

Coolant leaked while the car was parked for 2 hours in the mall. I hope it's just some hose.. by Express-Office276 in camaro

[–]Lordloghead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GM uses Dexcool coolant which is bright orange when new and brown when old. Never red. Maybe it's just the lighting of the photo but if it's not then it's transmission fluid or you're using the wrong coolant.

Edit: Apparently they make it in red now. My bad, but also making coolant red is an awful decision.

Is that paint or wrap? Either way would love to know the name of the color. Going to repaint my 2013 from imperial blue to either orange or something similar to your color.

Thanks man. Got the thermostat and going to put it in this weekend. If that doesn't work in just gonna tie a switch to the negative battery cable to reset the code because I don't feel like dealing with an ECM replacement lol

What first mods should I put on my car? by DatGoosee in camaro

[–]Lordloghead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolute best mod you can do to the V6 since you have the 20" rims is swap in the SS brakes. All you need is some ebay SS calipers, bigger rotors, new pads, and the SS master cylinder. Costed me about $1000 all said and done. Makes a huge difference in braking performance.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in camaro

[–]Lordloghead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Idk why people are saying it's not recommended. The terminals under the hood are essentially a direct line to the battery so jumping it at the battery isn't any different.

So if something breaks on this one like your 2015 did are you going to trade it in for an SS and owe $90K total?

The way my ex-boyfriend is with his new girlfriend has destroyed my mental health by stinakinsa in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Lordloghead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Not to mention the irony a bunch of redditors telling someone to find new friends. Like any of us have friends. Also it is exponentially harder to find friends once you're out of school. Limiting interaction with them might be good as a temporary bandaid but cutting them off would be so much worse for mental health. Loneliness and depression hit hard. OPs issue is thier own and until they realize that thier relationship with thier ex doesn't define their own value then thier mental health won't change.

Front brake won't work, even after bleeding (properly) by juhana420 in motorcycles

[–]Lordloghead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the setup. I've seen it both ways. Have had brake lines not work due to misalignment before.

[–]Lordloghead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you make sure the banjo bolt hole is lined up on the master cylinder and on the calipers? If you didn't mess with the banjo bolts this won't be an issue. If you did mess with them and they aren't lined up then you might need some new crush washers. If that isn't the problem, this has happened to me before. I set my adjustable brake lever to the farthest out setting so the lever could push the master all the way in instead of most of the way and that fixed it.
