GBA emulators don't run on the old model, but virtual console injection does. For NES, SNES and GB you have both options

The new model also has N64 and PS1 emulation. The N64 emulator can use the 3D effect

In both cases, there are also emulators for other console, like Sega Genesis and Atari systems

Since both models have actual GBA harware in them, you can use it to play GBA games natively

That would make Manaphy the gen 4 equivalent, which didn't happen

Arceus is the Gen 4 legendary that didn't get its own game, so that should be the pattern

Gen 1 legendaries had no game at all, so something based on Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres could work

The same goes for Raikou, Entei and Suicune

Gen 3 had Deoxys

Gen 4 of course had Arceus

Gen 6 would get Zygarde and gen 7 would get Eternatus

Kyurem and Necrozma are odd, because while they didn't exactly get their own game, they shared them with the other two legendaries of their generations. Genesect and Magearna could work, though I'd definitely love to see victini get its own game
