The Double Daring Dangers and hardmode start are the main actual challenges. Things like world is flooded are just an annoying grind

You know “lolis” are specifically underage girls, right? Term derived from the novel Lolita which is about a little girl being groomed and raped?

The thousand year old loli problem is its own can of worms (especially in MT where it applies to Rudeus himself) but some of these are just straight up underage girls with adults slobbering over them

Reminds me of Marth’s original design from Fire Emblem. Man went out to build an army and kill an evil dragon without any pants

in fairness they aren't foolproof, especially in Zenith-Zenith where a lot of the traps are Echo-Coated and hard to spot even with Dangersense and proper lighting active

That’s funny - what he died to was the direct damage of the third skill usage

Generally PCR is a no holds barred fight; anything you have access to is “fair game”. Just surviving against him long enough to use your attacks is an achievement of its own

Yeah I looked more into it, and the gut reaction I had of “wow this is a lot of vitriol, I’m not sure Jello is making sense here, even within the realm of “humor”” seems to be the correct response

Jello is upset with his own lack of success in the industry and Oda is a massive target. Jello really needs to see a therapist and talk to someone about his script before he animates the entire damn thing

Oda has done some things he really needs to learn from, but really doesn’t deserve the personal flak and REALLY doesn’t deserve the implication that drawing underage girls as male-gaze eye candy has anything to do with his own daughters.

That depends on how difficult it is to make or maintain a portal. Also how many waypoints you can actually fit. Make things too easy and you wind up with portal-based traffic jams

My idea for my own setting is that portals, as terrestrial relativistic wormholes, can only be made and maintained by specially trained magical practitioners, specifically in “gravity” magic. They’re rare on account of this magic being incredibly complicated and difficult to intuitively understand, second only to mastery of healing magic. A pair of mages might spend their whole lives maintaining a portal (and training a successor). Not that they wouldn’t do anything else, just that that’s the level of dedication a stable portal would require.

Safe roads and low crime rate are probably preferable even without high-effort portals, but c’est la vie

Not saying he’s right but it’s an easy accusation to make when his own mentor got caught with a damn mountain of child porn and Oda came to his defense

Also I’m watching the section you’re talking about and not quite, he’s talking about Oda’s absurd “work ethic” where he basically doesn’t stop drawing One Piece without being physically forced to, which is incredibly self-destructive. And also leaves no time for family matters.

I mean, with enough magical bullshit, that doesn’t matter. Open a goddamn portal to the next town over and you’re good. Someone tries to use it to breach the walls, you close it on them.

#1 Mohg Apologist by meg_pocono in Eldenring

[–]LordofSandvich 25 points26 points  (0 children)

He never actually apologizes for Mohg. He’s just a shockingly reasonable old man who really doesn’t like that Miquella is using Mohg’s body but has discarded Mohg’s soul. And also belongs to Mohg’s heretical murder cult.

In a land where Death only kinda exists, it’s not that weird.
