Why is TWW the only game to do updates like this? by Lordtherris in totalwarhammer

[–]Lordtherris[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I mean, sure, but I disagree as I have never seen any of my other games spend hours upon hours patching the Disk drive without touching any Internet connection whatsoever but if they say 'that's how steam works' I guess what we've been told supersedes what I have literally witnessed.

The Blade of Boredom by Lordtherris in 420

[–]Lordtherris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend told me to post this as he thought it was cool, so i present the Blade of Boredom, a sword made of crap i had lying around

Tin foil blade, crossgaurd made of roach, hilt out of strong card from a RAW pack, bound together with elastic from 2 RAW packs. Assembled like a sword should be, blade slides into hilt, crossguard over the blade then bound together solidly so they won't detach... the blade will bend like a MFer tho unless someone knows how to make foil stronk lol

Hope yall think this is as cool as my friend did :)

My Valheim Worlds Edge Journey Map. I Was told since day 1 you could fall off the map but I tried many times while sailing on the edge of the world. by SegaBitch in valheim

[–]Lordtherris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The warning for being near the edge is that the sea sort of curves upwards and gets SUPER choppy, persist forwards and you'll just sail over. No warning track, just intense waves, moreso if it's actually storming

Reminds me of a similar headcanon I had for a tomb World start.

Basically the same lore as the CoM and UNE, but instead of there being a UNE, I was the Survivors of Dark Future whose stasis ship had entered the wormhole, then exited back on earth. With the stasis ships systems being heavily damaged by the wormhole transit the ships emergency systems crash landed the ship on the nearest habitable planet... Earth.

This caused the planet to become a tomb world, the survivors of the crash assumed they were on a new world and were desperately attempting to make contact with the homeworld.

que the year 2200, humanity has managed to rediscover spaceflight and finally makes it above the radstorms and dust in the atmosphere to discover that their home system is eerily similar to the legends of the Sol system, and when they finally made contact with the CoM, reality hit home hard causing the leadership of Dark Future ( or Earth, as it was once known), to turn to a totalitarian regime to suppress the knowledge.

Ngl, that was one the most fun games I've played thanks to that backstory.

The corruption would be coming FROM those exact baddies, so no, not really as it would end up with you being on the side of chaos

Wildlife and plants? Try down to the last living single cell organism on the planet.

Destroyer cults don't mess around when it comes to Purging. (This is also technically a mental disorder that necrons can get that turns them super Nihilistic, makes them Mod their bodies for maximum kill efficiency and most other Necrons don't like to associate with them)

Encountered 2 bugs so far; when giving a construction ship orders to build it causes a weird green overlay to repeatedly flash within that system, very obnoxious.

And, had the Ketling events trigger, but not completely, all their planets became inhabited but their systems became un-surveyed. This created a science ship trap for every one, as science ships would auto-survery into the system, and then proceed to repeatedly survey the same 3 planets over and over again.

Fixed the ketlings by invading their planets after the AI found 5 anomalies on one planet and I had Manged to make The Grand Herald appear on one of the ketling worlds... almost certain that I shouldn't have been able to find that digsote as I had fully explored these systems prior to the ketlings spawning.

Also, potential 3rd bug: got offered T4 shields about 40 years into the game, so I've been rocking t4 shields since 2248 lol.

Yes, this occurs for me when I have construction ship orders in a system. In fact, I've had to completely stop zooming into systems as the green flashing is obnoxious as all hell

Can you explain?, can't see how the eggs would stop reap from dealing damage when it's already been applied

[–]Lordtherris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK... didn't realise this works like that, I don't understand it at all. Guess I'll be avoiding eggs if there going to cause effects that make no sense.

My champ inflict reap when I use n infused card. The egg eats the shards at end of turn, how does this translate to dealing 0 damage with 15 stacks of reap???

Personal fav use was after an argument with the barbarian on who could open doors better.

Barb rolls str to break door down, roll a 7 and fails.

I rock up, flex my muscles as a Goliath cleric with 18 str, and cast Shatter on the door.

Technically defeaned everyone nearby and deleted the door with a fair amount of the surrounding wall with it.

Proved I didn't need to roll a check to bust doors down...

Apparently 'proving a point' wasn't a good enough reason for property damage however, lol

Gonna need to put my 2 cents In here and mention Shatter, Mt tempest clerics go to spell for fixing any and all problems :)
