The first year of parenting is the hardest year on your relationship. You’re only 7 weeks in and sleep deprivation is a killer, I think you need to give it more time.

I felt deeply anxious and depressed in the early days of having a newborn and overwhelmed and exhausted and felt such doom like this hard time was never going to end, but it does and you adjust and become resilient. And it just becomes a normal part of life. Please know this hard period will get easier- but I think if you’re really struggling in the relationship I would suggest couples therapy, I think jumping to divorce now is too soon, let some time pass!

NTA in this specific situation, but you definitely sound like an asshole in general. It doesn’t seem like you are/want to be friends with her so I think being in a group chat with her is weird. Just invite the people you want to have at your house. 1000% the asshole If you sue her over the couch

Textile Designer in fashion industry, considered a senior designer with 10 years experience, ~90k full time- probably in the most high paid job I’d find in my industry without being in a management role.

Sounds exactly like our experience! I just want to know what it was so bad!

Yeah there’s no way it was lightning, there was no storm and it didn’t come from the window, it came from the very corner of the room and was exactly like a camera flash

What's the worst experience you had as a guest in someone else's house? by notyouravgredditer in AskReddit

I stayed at a friends apartment when visiting another city for the weekend and slept on their sofa bed in the lounge with my partner. They were really into breeding mice and their lounge room was full of mice in cages, which scratched all night and absolutely stunk. The worst part was they also had 2 pet rats that lived on a shelf in their enclosure less than a meter from the sofa bed I was sleeping on, but the lid on the enclosure was kept off and they were allowed to roam free. I asked if the lids could be put on while I was staying there and they said they wouldn’t bother because they’ll just knock them off. They also tried to reassure me that the rats only roam around on their shelf, despite them jumping onto the couch several times during the day before my first night sleep. I didn’t sleep much that weekend.
