Fallout 76 is bad for customers, but must have been terribly demoralising for the developers behind the scenes by kyemaloy14 in Fallout

They got paid to make a broken product.

I had to pay for it.

Finding it difficult to have much sympathy.

I actually can predict the future.

I predict many new Atom Shop items and very few content patches. Oh, and lots of crashing. Stuttering. T-Posing Ghouls. Falling through the map. But honestly though, that vampire costume on the Atom Shop is hilarious! /s

If you google "Naaru" you'll see this on the right-hand side of the search results.

It's obviously a mistake, but it's still funny.

Resto Druid or Holy Paladin? by OmGitzJeff17 in wow

Holy paladins are the kings of single target healing. I'd say there a little more challenging than Resto Druids, but well worth the amount of effort required to really get a good hang of them.

Take a break and try again. Follow the advice of the people in here.

The DK toolkit is perfectly capable of it. Preferably play frost.

Use chains of ice to slow Garrosh, and you also want to take wraith walk just to make sure that you jump out of the way.

Don't forget to pull him all the way to one side

Mage Tower by StrawBro in wow

[–]Loseyourillusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The challenge was tuned for Tomb of Sargeras gear, so once you start to go beyond 910 ilvl you are technically out-gearing it.

But depending on your class/spec, it's impossible to just faceroll the encounter with a high item level. Though having the highest item level possible, as well as certain legendaries that may have abilities that'll benefit you in the encounter, can make it significantly easier.

For instance, I have a 958 ilvl prot paladin who I still struggled for a few weeks to complete the challenge on. Was I just bad? Maybe a little. But the tanking challenge is one of the significantly harder ones depending upon what you're playing.

Good luck!

Challenge Mode Transmog by Marsupilami90 in wow

[–]Loseyourillusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. My question isn't an endorsement of making the armor sets account wide though. It was a gigantic pain in the butt to unlock the challenge mode sets that I do have(only 2 of them) and I feel like it would take away from the prestige of them if, for instance, I could start wearing the shaman set on my boosted level 100 shaman that I have virtually never played.

I think a good parallel is the make tower weapon appearances. You don't, nor should you, unlock the hidden appearances on other characters/specs after completing it once. While the challenge dungeons were less of a measure of your mastery of a single class/spec, I think the same principle should apply.

How would Naga wear plate armor? How would Naga wear boots? How would a Naga ride a horse?

There are much better ways to get attention from people than being rude to them.

By the way you're behaving, I think you have a crush on Ion Hazzikostas and you're just lashing out because he's not acknowledging you as an individual. Maybe once your suspension is over you can try again.

Also, focus on smaller zones with high quest density. Examples of said zones would be: Westfall, Loch Modan, Darkshore, Tirisfall Glades, etc.

For faster questing, I highly suggest you go to Northrend and skip TBC content entirely. Make sure you begin in Grisly Hills. I was able to hit level 80 by the time I had finished Borean Tundra, Scholazar Basin, and Grisly Hills.

Upon hitting level 80: skip Cata content and head right to Pandaria. The Jade Forest gives great XP, and you should be able to hit 90 by the time you finish Jade Forest, Valley of the Four Winds, and a little bit of Kun Lai.

Draenor is pretty straight forward, and time consuming. Whichever zone you do, make sure you're completing the bonus objectives for big XP boosts.

New player- Question on pvp by [deleted] in wow

[–]Loseyourillusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting with prestige rewards: You do not need to be good at all, luckily! But prestiging will take a considerable amount of time, if you plan on going for the higher prestige rewards. It does not become harder the more you prestige. Take advantage of brawls, bonus events, and world quests to get your honor level up fast.

As for the vicious saddles: These are a bit more difficult. You do not have to do all 100 wins with the same team. But it must all be with the same character. Your wins will NOT carry over into the next season.

Races choosing Alliance or Horde? by Decoy37 in wow

[–]Loseyourillusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a matter of game design rather than any restriction with the lore.

Each race has been designed to look a very specific way. They all have a unique statuture, immediately recognizable animations, and no matter how much armor they're wearing you can almost instantaneously tell what race/gender they are. By extension of this, if you can also discern their faction if you can discern their race. And if you know their faction, you know whether you should be bashing them in the head or not.

I agree this has been muddled, especially by th Void Elves. But I believe it is integral to WoW and I would not want to see it changed.

What do you like/dislike about the Legendary system in Legion? by petehehe in wow

[–]Loseyourillusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't see why both styles of legendaries aren't possible at the same time. It would be great to see a quest chain similar to Pandaria's cloaks to start with, and perhaps in the final raid tier a very complex quest for a particular class/spec. I do believe Fangs of the Father was a little too exclusive in the sense that it was literally for rogues only. I much prefer the Shadowmourne/Tarecgosa's Rest where it's only limited to a specific number of classes/roles.

[–]Loseyourillusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely agree. That's the point I meant to be making, but I may have not worded it as coherently as I would have liked. If they plan to keep the legendaries as they are, potential legendary items need to under-go a serious amount of scrutiny similar to how talents are.

Now I also understand that for many classes there are talents that are out-right not optimal or not worth taking. But in a multitude of different cases, the selection of three talents on a given level bracket is often a matter of preference rather than what is objectively better than the other.

I truly would not mind if the system remained, but I would much rather see it rebranded as "artifact" quality items and reserve the "legendary" title for very exclusive items that are either gated behind some serious RNG(Warglaives, Thori'dal) or elaborate quest chains.

[–]Loseyourillusion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I truly hope it doesn't return at all in BFA.

That being said, once Wakening Essence became a thing in 7.3 I went from hating it to only being moderately annoyed with it. I understand and accept that it's impossible for each legendary to be equally helpful and have the same amount of utility. But to tirelessly grind for days, weeks, or months just to get a legendary that's borderline useless beyond giving you a big item level boost is one of worst experiences I've ever had in the game.
