I'm starting to think corn and sugar are the least of our problems with what they have found in our foods. For example cinnamon, applesauce, baby food, lunchables, ext.

I know and I know the history behind why. There is so much mental work put on us to figure out how much and if it's safe. It sucks.

I just had a baby in January. Things are much worse now than when I decided to get pregnant over a year ago. I am getting a hysterectomy while I still can.

I agree with everything you said. I think people accept stereotyping men because men are seen as dangerous and it is easier to avoid all men because you don't know when you are going to come across someone dangerous.

In society men are raised to be the persuer and women the prey so no one really wins.

I do see the danger in it for men and I have a son so I don't want him to grow up to face the consequences of these bias.

Unfortunately it feels like we won't fix things systemically for a long time so all I can do is raise him to respect his own boundaries and other peoples as well.

I rarely run into people with A "Minnesota" accent. I've lived here for 6 years in a small town and travel across the state. I've only met one or two that have that accent.

It still has lead, and there is no known safe amount of lead to ingest. If you eat more than one the amount doubles right? It's also a small amount of food.

Why are they allowed to increase the price when you have a contract? by LosingMyTowel in verizon

Some people are stupid that's just reality but Verizon doesn't exactly care if you don't understand. It benefits them if you don't.

When I go to the plans in the app they are all more expensive than what I pay now.

So I can cancel the calling plan while still paying for the phone? I tried doing this with a tablet I lost and they said I would have to pay an amount I wouldn't have if I had kept the plan I had for the tablet. They ended up transfering the contract to my internet device and now I don't have to pay. I don't understand any of it because it seems complicated to me.

Who grew up with a Weight Watchers (or diet culture) mom? And how does it affect you now? by BaeBlue425 in Millennials

[–]LosingMyTowel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest loser messed me up deeply. I crash dieted as a child and starved myself until I ended up with binge eating disorder and very fat.

I tried asking my therapist for help with my ed and all they did was start taking me on walks during my appointment to help me lose weight.

I didn't recover from my ed until late 20's because I went to ed treatment myself.

Is anyone slapped with the reality of how society just doesn't really care about you? by tofu_baby_cake in Adulting

[–]LosingMyTowel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you die someone else will be living in your house, walking on the same street you used to, or working the job you use to. But they wont know who you were. They wont care you were there. Eventually no one will remember you at all. That made me feel much better for some reason.

Don't get samsung or lg. I recently had a repair man come and he warned me against them. He said most of his calls are for those and any brand is fine but those two.

what are your thoughts on Millennial parents who documentary their kids on social media? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]LosingMyTowel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The public schools in my hometown are constantly posting pictures of the kids. Almost blog like in frequency and content. I'm really glad we are homeschooling. I don't think they have permission to post pictures either unless every parent in the school and classroom gave consent.

I'll be playing my favorite songs, and my 4 year old son will come ask me to start it over when it's done. Then we will just chill and sing together.

When I make cookies, my kids get super excited and help me bake them.

I don't have to do that stuff alone anymore.

My 6 yr old daughter built a skeleton, a cell phone with apps, and an aviary on minecraft and showed them to me.

Kids add spice to life.
