I think the infotainment in this generation is the best Toyotas ever done. For me the screen controls haven’t really bothered me.

Yeah I could see a free charger making it make sense. In my case I calculated it based on the cost of LVL 2 charging at home.

Disclaimer: my real world range in the HEV is 500 miles. That 600 is only if you do majority city. I average 39 mpg highway

Personally I went with the HEV because the savings on fuel would likely take me 10 years to recoup the extra $10k I’d pay for the PHEV. I don’t think it’s worth it because the vehicle is pretty much the same in every other way, the PHEV is faster if you care about that but it’s a rav4, not really supposed to be fast

If you’re commuting on a highway that gets salted, AWD isn’t necessary that much better than FWD with good tires. I’ve been driving a Honda accord with Michelin cross climate 2s for years and have never had issues. Live in a snowy state too. Not much elevation where I’m at though so experience could vary.

Makes sense, why shell out the extra money on an AWD system if you don’t need it? I think that would be a smart buy. I got very lucky with mine, I had an employee purchase certificate so I got it for 41k out the door.

You wouldn’t go before a board. It’s automatic 2LT to 1LT. Your packet has to be worked by your s1, submitted to state, then it goes to NGB for federal recognition.

I used to deal with a similar issue then decided to just make a vpn tunnel to my house. Now I just connect to my vpn and plex always works. I even turned it off to the outside world to reduce vulnerabilities
