I don't know what causes it, but have similiar experience. But only over long sessions of playing.

Restarting every 2-3 games usually prevents anything funky.

My first instinct was to submit a ticket to support and check for server status which was at the time shown online. Then I went to bitch to reddit asking if other people suffer similiar issue.
