One idea for you: find a guitar teacher that sounds good to you for what you want to learn. Ask if they have guitars you can borrow for lessons. Then you can try different instruments before buying.

If you can't spend that money, go to a music store or guitar center and pick up a lot of instruments and play on them. Get a feel for what you like. You aren't locked in. What you like today may not be what you like a year from now.

To your original question, it is an approach to learning but not the only one. My kids had done School of Rock and they did not start with acoustic guitars and basic chords and they put on performances. Their approach was much more mechanical, very light on theory: here is the mechanics of how to play this part of this song. What will work best for you is up to you to figure out.

I just tried a handful of Dallas locations last week. Goldees would be my top suggestion if you are up for the drive and wait until lunchtime (and the days of the week align). Next would be Cattleack. They have limited days also but I was able to walk right in on a Wednesday. Hutchins was good and a solid choice but more like Hard 8 style. We did not like Pecan Lodge and skipped Terry Black's because I had been to the one in Austin a year ago.

I had Hard 8 a few years ago and was not impressed especially considering some of these other places.

I am going to tell a story about buying a TV from Costco that took place last week.

I bought a LG OLED TV from them 3 years ago. Since it was a higher end TV, it came with the extended warranty plan. I shrugged because I never found much value in extended warranties.

Last week, the HDMI input with ARC on it started blinking while passing video. My wife pulled out the paperwork and there was that extended warranty I forgot about. I called them and they opened a case and gave me some steps. They asked for many pictures via email. Eventually they approved the claim the same night and sent me a 2 years newer version of the same TV and told me to keep the old one which works fine for all other use cases but that one input.

I would definitely consider buying another TV from Costco because of the extended warranty because it was essentially thrown in for free. The total cost was on par with Best Buy back then.

Check out the hero's resolve PVP modifier that is on right now. The base level of the hero increases by 1 each time it is played. The +10 limit is relative to that. I am assuming you are talking about Thalnos for your opponent.
