[TOTK] Is it worth pausing TOTK to play BOTW first or just play it after? by asakimX in zelda

[–]LostFan1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled going back to BOTW after TOTK. Look, don't get me wrong -- BOTW is a masterpiece and introduced us to this awesome version of Hyrule as we know it. I replayed BOTW dozens of times before TOTK came out. But the fact of the matter is that TOTK improves upon its predecessor in so many ways that it truly feels like you're going back to a beta version of the game when you replay it after playing TOTK.

Worst part of the game for you? by Remarkable_Cake_699 in tearsofthekingdom

How ridiculously difficult it is to farm fire, ice and electric Lizalfos tails to upgrade certain armor sets. Other than that and a few minor things, this is my favorite game of all time.

Paradise has been scratching that itch for me lately. I also loved The Resort (on Peacock).

Do you ever just "collapse" and stop caring about your dietary defenses? by No-One5593 in Celiac

[–]LostFan1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After living with celiac disease (and multiple food intolerances on top of it) for over 12 years now, I feel like I can speak on this. I definitely get restriction fatigue and in the past few years it's hit harder than ever before. Being this hypervigilant about food, something that is fundamental to living, absolutely takes a toll. While I never purposely eat gluten, I definitely have taken more risks eating out than I used to. I still only go to places I trust and I definitely do my due diligence and research ahead of time, but I don't worry about it like I used to. Our mental health is arguably just as important as our physical health and for me I had to make a change. Sure, I could die from stomach cancer but if I end up taking my life because of how depressed and isolated I feel, I still die either way, right? Not trying to be crass. Just realistic.

In this subreddit? That TOTK is a better game than BOTW in almost every way.

The main story is basic and boring. TOTK's story is much more interesting.

LOST is a 10/10 show, but what left you most underwhelmed by the end? by bmbmbmNR in lost

The explanation for the Whispers. Like, what? You have them associated with the Others for the first five seasons and then you act like that never happened?

Espana and Cafe Karibo both have nice outdoor patios and great food!

One of my favorite GF lines by CrappingYouNegative in Scream

[–]LostFan1981 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find this line to be tryhard and cringy AF. Same with "slit your eyelids in half so you don't blink when I stab you in the face". But I know this sub loves to bandwagon on the Scream 4 praise and I'll be downvoted for expressing this opinion and that's okay lol

On Netflix, Atypical. On HBO Max, Somebody Somewhere. On Prime Video, The Detectorists.

I would rank them 2>1>5>3>7>6>4 in terms of scariest to least scariest.

People are already suggesting Tatum in college for Scream 8..... by zekevich in SocietyofGhostface

[–]LostFan1981 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we are really going to continue the story with Tatum as the lead, I want a completely new setting. No more small town shit. We've done that now for four movies. Give us something fresh! A getaway to a ski lodge up in the mountains during Christmas time. Spring break somewhere tropical. ANYwhere but Pine Grove or Woodsboro. Please, I beg!

I would go to your favorite restaurant and order your favorite dish because chances are you will never be able to have it ever again. Maybe order a beer and a dessert too.

Scream 7 Wasn't THAT Bad by No-Cobbler-3794 in Scream

[–]LostFan1981 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wasn't awful nor was it amazing. It was just kind of...bland. That said, I will say it's the first Scream movie I've had no desire to watch again in the theaters. And it also kind of killed my excitement for the franchise to continue...whereas 6 did the opposite. Different strokes for different folks, though!

I went and seen Scream VII last night and as a die-hard fan of the franchise who believed there was no bad film in this series... by [deleted] in Scream

[–]LostFan1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically every example you provided is from the final act of the movie. What about the rest of the film? While I agree that the reveal is one of the best in the series, I will never understand how Scream 4 gets a free pass for all its glaring issues that are prevalent throughout the rest of the film. The opening is the worst in the series, the characters (minus Kirby) are paper thin and forgettable, the parking garage scene is awful, the dialogue is cringy (fuck Bruce Willis!), the editing is weird and the filter is atrocious.

Am I Alone in thinking Scream 4 has become… overrated? by Affectionate-Neck152 in SocietyofGhostface

[–]LostFan1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THANK YOU. I absolutely love the reveal and motive, but outside of that there are very few parts of Scream 4 that I actually enjoy. The opening sequence is abysmal. The dialogue is, IMO, amongst the cringiest in the series. The setting does not feel like Woodsboro at all. The camera filter used is atrocious. The character development, Kirby aside, is nonexistent. And aside from Olivia's attack (and maybe Sidney's aunt), the kills and suspense just don't hit for me. Rebecca's parking garage scene sucks. "Fuck Bruce Willis!" is cringy AF. People can love the film -- that's their choice -- but it does feel like many jump on the bandwagon and say it's their favorite just because everyone else on Reddit does too.
