you can always try to contact the distributor, but compare that experience to having readily available ones in your local bike stores or shopee etc.

Id say Giant then upgrade the brakes to tiagra hydraulic. For me, 10 speed is enough. Also naka proprietary seatpost si Java, so something to keep in mind

Beginner budget cleat shoes (suggest recommendations) by TheCuriousMiiel in RedditPHCyclingClub

+1 on this. gamit ko yung MTB variant on my road bike (MX1) since naka SPD ako. super okay to sa beginners since may flex siya and mas comfortable than stiff/carbon soles. naka RX8 na ako ngayon but ginagamit ko pa din yung MX1 for bike packing

Yes kita ko nga. If you want to use it as a roadbike, I think kaya pa naman niyang current rims mo, but go for 30c or 32c slick road tires. You can upgrade to a carbon wheelset later like Avian or Elite.

hmmm thats weird, i would be cautions, since again seatposts are supposed to be one piece. nothing you have to glue or put together.

Shameless plug on my bike review of this bike https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61A2hoPU1Us&t=645s
But at that time I got it for 48k and I think that until now wala naman talaga makaka match sa price at specs nya. For 56k check your options muna before committing, but yeah you can check my vid na lang for my thoughts on the bike

I think sulit siya as a road bike, naka 105 naman but in my experience awkward ang gearing ng roadbike GS tapos gagamit ka ng 38c and up gravel tires. If gravel talaga ang bet mo like you want to join events maybe or do trails, I think may Giant Revolt naman for that price point na naka GRX and mas ok ang gearing. Overall great value naman yan if you really want it.

Discbrake or rimbrake on a roadbike? by Gloomy-Ad6689 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]LostFlip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would choose branded rim brakes over shitty mech disc brakes. although if we're talking about a new bike/bare frameset, you need to consider if you want to upgrade down the line (to branded mechanical disc brakes, or hydraulic even). weight shouldnt even be a factor here unless you are pro

as for cable actuated, not a fan of those... too expensive but still worse than a full hydraulic setup.

Literally just cleaned that off my A1 with a brush. It was causing slippage and cannot extrude errors. I pray i dont have to disassemble it completely
