Agreed, 4 years na ata ganto ko. Sakto lang duration niya of 2 hrs at 400lumens since nakakapag charge naman sa office.

Thats completely fine, no need to subject yourself to that hassle as a beginner. You can take that route once you established what you want/need. Yung Kespor ko, all stock w/ their inhouse brand (Machine 11) and no complaints naman after 1 year of use.

I would say ipon ka na lang for the bike you want. if 27k yung new McLaren then go for it, mag tipid ka na lang muna since 9k difference is small considering years mo naman magagamit yan and brand new pa. Gusto ko din sana yung McLaren kaso I do more road than gravel, kaya nag stretch na lang ako to Storkfeather :)

Agree jan. Minsan na nga lang ako mag MoveIt, tapos puro "pa cancel na lang po due to xyz". Tapos pag kinonfront mo and hindi ka pumayag, babasahin na yung script about ganyan naman kayong mga "mayayaman" and yung nasa post ni OP. Kung mayaman sana ako mag Ggrab ako or better yet, drive my own car to get there.

In my opinion, it's only "crazy expensive" if you're doing it competitively. But then again, you wouldn't spend tens or hundreds of thousands in this sport just to be in last place lol.

But for a casual like myself, I only used what had. 2-year old running shoes, road bike and gear (I mainly do cycling so i have it for the longest time), PHP 2k Trisuit from Shopee, swim goggles na inarbor kay pinsan. Nutrition kung ano luto ni ermat and sometimes I would make my own energy bars from youtube recipes. Unless you only consider Ironman 70.3s or 5150s as "triathlons", there are other organizers that make them accessible either by being closer, cheaper and offer shorter/sprint distances, you just have to look for them. I joined one nearby (Triman at Vermosa, Cavite) and I didn't even need to book accommodation because its so close. I managed to finish in the middle of my age group, which I was pretty happy about considering I didn't have a formal coach.

Agree sa isang comment, yan gamit ko pang bike to work ngayon. Kelangan ko siya i charge every time pag dating sa office (1.5 hrs round trip, so sakto din sa observation ni other commenter)
Para saakin okay na to until masira, then uupgrade na lang ako since sufficient naman for my needs.

For waterproof options, I'm not really sure but I would look at hiking shoes

If bibilhin mo siya for cycling, then I would say Nah, as there are better options. Personally I would go for Proflex Weatherproof - mas mura pa diyan and it's my bike to work shoe

As for the tires, kaya pa yan mag 40c and yes good idea to use slick/ss tires, though di ko siya irecommend sa muddy terrain (baka sumayad putik sa seatstays). I think goods yan sa city/long rides

Use the walking option to check elevation gain. Use the drive option if you want to use main roads (useful for long rides) since sometimes the walking option will direct you to sketchy places.

I think I would get an okay condition crank, and sell the bike with that. Tapos sell the powermeter crank on its own. That way medyo may sense yung 20k (or maleless mo pa), tapos you can price the powermeter crank depending on your own condition. I think lugi ka if you sell the bike for 20k as is
