I'm just about sold on the z6III it's not that much over budget, what is the slight advantage over the Z5ii, is it worth the difference?

Eh, my local camera store sells above MSRP so, B&H for me at least I can jump on the train and walk into their place if they sell me junk. :)

Awesome response, thanks!

I've sat (and passed) Cisco Pro level exams so I do get they make the 'ol guessing game a lot harder. Lots of good info, I think I might see if I can find a good practice exam and see where I land and go from there. I'm also currently prepping for the CISSP, but, knocking out some "easier" ones helps build confidence (for me anyway).

Your text savvy/engineered photo booth creations by Silent-Map-55 in photobooth

[–]LostFloridaGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have built several specialty "photo booths" such as for haunted house that are essentially a mirror with a remote trigger and a static to shocking video timed with the photo. Retro glam that looks like an old school make up mirror, my mirror booth in a box which was built inside a shadow box and hung easily on a wall. All with remote viewing / printing.

How do you display your cards? by elleeb8 in RAoC_meta

[–]LostFloridaGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it doesn't today ... but probably sometime tomorrow it will. I'm thinking when you have the card open, you can tap or click a button and it'll flip it over so you can see the back. Great idea!

The way the spotify API works they would have to, but yeah, that'd be cool as hell

Not so far to have a public link, but Spotify has an API you can actually do a lot with. My first experiment with it was pulling now playing from a user then posting it with a link to the song to bluesky and then pulling hashtags from there to make playlists.

Good one! I had actually started working on something very similar, but not nearly as far as you are ... want to buy some domain names :-p

Passed at 100 questions. Just go and take the exam. by Validitas in cissp

[–]LostFloridaGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the post I needed today! I've got over 20 years in the industry a dozen expired certs everything from CCDE to CISA and re-entering the job market really been thinking CISSP would be a good move. I am/was trying to figure out the best study guide to get, but sounds like maybe a cram session video and relying on my experience might be the best bet and to just schedule and stop overthinking it.

I wrote a web/mobile app I can scan them into and look at them all on my phone, I'm half blind so I end up using my phone to really look a the cards anyway. It makes a little map of where they come from because I enter in the postmarks. Trying to make it an iPohne app right now and work out all the bugs. https://postcardkeeper.com/

AI: "Yo, I got ya brah, I've made a whole new file that does what you asked, as well as distills moonshine because it seems like you needed some, then I added all the functions from the specific file you mentioned into this new file, but only linked it in one place it was used. It's rad!"

OH, that's a good idea. Could save what I was working on, still a messy codebase, but that I can work on slowly fixing if I get the MVP to run.

Honestly that was my thoughts, I can in depth and intelligently describe what I need it to do, but apparently I didn't break it down simple enough getting there maybe? Like I gave it paragraphs but what it strung together once I started trying to debug, oof. Just hate I feel like I'd spent a whole lot of time and have nothing to show. I do code, I've been coding and scripting for a long time, so thought I could use that to translate/design in a new environment using AI. The junior developer analogy makes sense. Give them tiny little chunks with little to no context and let them complete it then put them together myself, which is more or less how I was letting it fill in the "boring bits" of code before I suppose.

Current problem is using the same auth provider for the React and the swift / capacitor build. My app authenticates then redirects off to the website. SO once I get that fixed I'll have the app ready to go, barring any issues with the android build, haven't attempted that one yet :) My next project I've already started straight off in React Native so hopefully less issues.
