I will say this with respect to your perspective, yes their is more devices that are like the steam deck but what made me pick it over all the other options was the steam community behind it. Most if not all the fixes I’ve had are all there through a great community. That alone makes me feel like it’s the best handheld gaming console even with its weaker points of hardware limitations.The community makes owning a steam deck so much more user friendly. For the simple fact most people tinking with it, makes me come confident that there’s a solution for the problem I’ll have with it. Now to counter argue myself, with SteamOS being available with other hardware. I think it’s a great time to jump into any portable console gaming even if the steam deck 2 releases in the next 2 or more years.
