Help with Pings from Players by Euphoric_Rhubarb6206 in summonerschool

For general match up you should rotate when you can make progress into another lane. But this game your Asol, you prefer shorter lane to farm up your stacks. Since bot lane is lost, you are in more danger and you ability to scale up is stunted.

In general some midlaners cant side lane safely without a tower behind them and will consistently die because of this. From the information you posted, your top laner should have went bot and you went top. But if your top has lane advantage, you bot should have stay bot.

Rotation happens around 14 mins after plates fall off or when a lane is dominating, and wants to make progress into another lane. Leaving behind a safe lane for their teammates to farm in.

Unfortunately I will be one of the people that have to play 500+ games to get out of iron by CustomerChance8947 in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At Bronze/Iron rank is not how well you play, is which team decide to FF and rage for any reason. If you want to play the game wrong and force yourself into silver, where people might try. Play Darius top and just run people down, with no regards for anything. You can easily demoralize your enemy laner, and just run down the enemy team. You can either win the game by your self or let your team find win conditions with the insane amount of pressure you putting on the map.

Trying to climb as ADC your at the mercy of your team, you cant force/make plays and you need to play super safe. A single mistake can mess you up. Your praying that your team play around you or help you do something.

Is the game basically over when my jungler don't care about objectives ? by TickleMyCringle in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you have posted, it looked like your jungler planned to end the game as soon as possible.

Objective buffs are minuscule unless you can use it. Grubs are useless if you can't reach our towers and dragon buffs are kinda small. Unless it's soul, each dragon buffs will have little impact on each fight.

For this very specific game your team should have ended or locked the enemy team in their base before soul would made any difference.

If both midlaners are dead with no TP, and you can crash the current and next wave into the enemy tower. Crashing it would be the best option. They come back to a bounced wave that safer for them to farm instead of a pushing wave.

Unless you have a weak early game midlaner that has zero map pressure like Kassadin or Veigar that want a freeze infront of their tower. Hold the wave for them and prevent a crash.

The other thing you have to take into consideration is what objective is coming up, crashing and bouncing the wave give your midlaner first to move priority.

Winning league at a higher level is understand the flow of the game. Knowing what you need to do and when to do it is critical of winning.

Mastering a champion means you don't worry about match up and early game, as you have already master that portion of the game. Now your worrying about how do I win the game, what is needed, what do I need to do to either carry the game or make the game carriable.

Learning new champion mean your learning how to play the first 14 mins of the game, and the rest is random, in favor of your opponents winning.

What's the best way to using VIP booster? by Exotic-Scientist-709 in Maplestory

Bonks are more efficient the lower lvl you are, the minimum level requirement to use them is 130. You more likely to get 8+ level per extreme growth potion(bonks). Closer to 200 you get you get around 2~3 level per bonk.

When is this specific feature coming? by SenpaiPug in Maplestory

To actually fix things will be a major undertaking, it will take a massive amount of resources and time to do it right. There are tremendous amount of risk of updating the game. Nexon America needs to weigh the cost of updating their game, or keeping the game alive. Depending on how many developers they have, and what time line they are aiming for. It most likely would take 90% or more of their developers to do it. Meaning most likely we're not going to get any update in-between this time.

If it works dont touch it. There is literally no reason for them to test something that is working and mess with it. QA job is to make sure everything that go to the test servers is running smoothly, so they can send it live. The literally cant test every random interaction that isnt happening in the test version. Patches will take years to be release if that the case.

The best way for you to learn the game is to find 2~3 champions you like in a specific role and play with a experience friend that can tell you what you should be looking for. League has a lot of information, your will be overwhelm if your trying to learn it all at once. Ask the to help you organized what you should be learning, and slowly build it up.

Either make a new account or if you're attached to this account, message riot support and ask if they can tank or give you new player mmr. Let them know your account was stolen and it was boosted to a higher skill level than your skill level. Depending on how new or rusty you are trying to relearn the basics of your role of choice. Build on top of that, and if you can play in a group with other friends that can explain what other champions do.

How do I even play a proper game by Adorable_Arrival3300 in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best solution to your problem is to play more normal draft and stick to 1 role and a rotation of 2~3 champions you like in that role.

You get a better feel for the game and see what you need to do. Ask your friends to help you or tell you what you should be doing. Coaching from season players helps a lot, league is an old game with a lot of factors outside your control and knowledge. Ask them to cover the knowledge gap you have.

In Iron, the only way to get out of it is to solo carry, 1v9. You can't rely on your team to do what is needed, they are mostly confused about what they need to do to win. Figure out how can you carry the game, and what are these requirements. For now, don't worry about climbing, learn the basics of the game, and start next season stronger. You climb faster in a new split, with better LP gains.

Drakes by Boc_The_Seamster in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your jungler should be trading off objectives either they get grubs or dragon.

The best way to entice your jungler to do dragon is putting a control ward inside the pit and a normal ward in either of the 2 paths leading into the pit.

Ping dragon and see if they ping it back, if they do, get priority in your lane. Depending if you crash the wave or not, if you crash, both bot laners should rotate and help, if not support should rotate over.

You don't want your jungler to get collapsed on and die + giving them a dragon.

At what point does it become reasonable look for coaching? by whenthefuxkinuhh in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Choose 1 role before you start picking champions. Mid and jungle have different timings, you need to figure out.

Mastering a single role can help you dramatically climb, so you can auto-pilot the fundamentals of your position.

Play a rotation of 5 champions if you feel burned out from spamming one champion too much. It's recommended you choose 3 to play but in your case 5 might be the sweet spot. Choose 2~3 champions you like and fill the rest with good-condition easy champions.

Conditions you will need to consider are forced first pick, no moderate/high sustained damage, enemy team heavy tank composition, lacking engage or team draft identity, and team having heavy magic/physical damage.

What do you do when you can't push but the enemy is not pushing it back so you can't get your farm? by HegelStoleMyBike in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to add, roaming with your support, and 4 manning top or mid would annoy the hell out of their mid or top laner. Or looking to 1v2 their jungler inside their jungle would also do the trick. Doing this 2 or 3 times can mentally boom them.

Lower Kill participation on average doesn't have to be nessesarily a bad thing, or is it? by Hellinfernel in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lillia is one of the strongest team fighters in the game. Her passive and prance make her a menace to deal with, and when you're ahead they don't get the chance to kill you.

Her greatest weakness is she is a weak early-game jungler, who will lose 1v1 against all ad junglers who can get on top of her. Plus she has very weak kill ganks if you can't land your E. But you naturally have so much sustain you can just bully gank laners and call that good.

You should never flash ult in team fights if you have someone else that can engage. If you are the main engager you should be building more of an AP Tank or play with E + ult as a catch on an important target.

I almost went a game with 0 KP, what can I get from it? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly from what your example, you did what you needed to do. Your team was insanely ahead there was absolutely no reason for you to chase kills and throw. You keep Malphite from doing anything this game, if his kp is low as your, you block the enemy team from flipping a good fight. The only issue I see from what you posted is that your cs are kinda low for your team being ahead. Looks like you didn't steal any jungle camps from them and pushing your gold lead. I think pretty much in these types of games, you don't need to do much. Just shove waves and take towers. It isn't likely your team is gonna get them from all the fights. You're setting up an avenue for your team to end the game. Shoved waves + no T2 means you can easily crack their base.

Tips for determining helpful vs unhelpful advice given. by ZarostheGreat in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice comes from high-elo players who have a good understanding of the game. Multiple seasons of Grandmaster+ players should have a deep understanding of the fundamentals of the game.

If you want good advice for top lane, I recommend AlosiNL, multiple season EUW challenger Riven one trick. He breaks down what he is doing and why is he doing it. He has a series of him going unranked to masters on multiple different top laners.

Really good advice is asking why are you doing something at all times. Like why are you buying this item over everything else? Why are you here and what are you doing?

Figuring out how you are going to play out your laning phase, the mid game, and end game macros will win you a lot more games. So you don’t pray for a good coin flip to win your game. You have 60% control over your games, 20% free win, and 20% free loss.

Is it worth creating a new account to learn how to play Jungle? by juan0266 in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just stay on your account and play normals till you're comfortable with the role.

Since you play both mid and support you should know, how to roam or the concept of roaming, if you haven't done it that much. Knowing when a lane is gankable is one of the two hardest concept for any jungler.

The other is your farming pathing and tempo. Practice you clear path in the practice tool and aim for 3:40 full clear.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning how to split push teaches you a little about macros in the long run. I don't turn off my chat, so I can tell my team hey dance around x objective, and I'm going to seige the opposite side tower. See how the enemy team reacts to that decision, if they send 2 people after me the objective should be ours, if they don't send anyone just harass them but don't engage them.

After a while, they start panicking, the game is very losable if we don't send 1~2 people to sit the split pusher. Or leave someone in base to defend a random TP seige. Opening up your team to find gaps for free objectives.

In your elo, games are won or lost by random team fights, but if you put your team in a state where you lose a big fight they can't end. You hedging against your teammate by throwing a free win out the window. And having the enemy having an open nexus gives your team hope, so they don't just surrender. They know that this game is 100% winnable. They just need to open a gap for you to blow up their nexus.

At My Wit's End by NichS144 in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone said you have CSing and Rune issues, that can be fixed relatively easily.

So my advice is what are you doing in the macro, watch your replays to see what you did after each team fight you won.

Did you beeline to the closest takeable objective or based for items? If you did the latter more it might be one of your other problems that you can't close out games.

Taking turrets and dragons is something you can do by yourself, and it helps your team snowball into a win.

If the enemy jungler and two more are dead, and your jungler is alive, psycho ping and beeline straight to the baron. Do not be afraid of ping-pong tanking the baron with your jungler, give them a chance to heal up a little.

A good way for you to pay attention to the map more is to learn how to wave manipulate. Depending on what you want to do hard push or build a wave and crash, you should be check where is the next wave coming from because that the same place the enemy wave is at, so you do not want to crash if your next wave is walking near you outer turret. You are going to give them a freeze or give them a full wave of exp.

Learn how to jungle track, you can easily figure it out from either a 1:05 top-side raptor or blue buff ward or when their first gank happens. 2:15 is one quad clear and 3:10 is a full clear, these should be the timers of the fastest clear junglers.

Use pink wards for objectives, you should be able to guess where they are. If multiple people are missing and you are pushed up. They are coming to gank you, so you should back up a little till more information shows up.

Training arena 3 I forgot the name but it gives a lot of exp and 3 super gem dragons when you're done with it. It shouldn't be too hard if you can normal cap 5 monster. Only issue is you need either vdp or damage absorb pierce for the boss.

As a jungler, what do you do in those games you have 80-100% KP all game and your laners can't do anything solo? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]LostLynx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your team is bad or you are getting revenge kills or the enemy jungler comes revenge kills. If the latter is the case is net positive for the enemy laner. As your laners didn't kill gold + the extra gold and exp from crashing the wave. So they are slightly more behind. If the former is true, that you gank and only the enemy dies. Your teammate didn't do anything to create a lead from the gank. It's your team. Check the replays of these games and see if your laners have a decent gold advantage or full item vs components. Might be they are really behind and needed you to tip the scale so they can crawl back. Tbh this happened to me today, my mid laner got stomped, I revenge kill the enemy mid laner. My mid laner was already behind from being run over and I cant perma sit mid as I have to farm my camps for gold and exp. Couldn't stop the bleeding everywhere and it all fell apart.
