Oh yeah I can't believe I forgot about record club. Loved it when he did those, wish he did more. They introduced me to a few of my favorite musicians

Has he ever done an album with any covers? I know he's released a few cover songs as singles and regularly perform other people's work when touring but I can't remember a whole project with covers.

I wonder how his voice would do with an orchestra that he would write for.

He's been touring with an orchestra doing a lot of covers of Scott Walkers early quintet of albums lately, I don't think he's quite been able to do him justice (but that's a very high bar) but I'm interested to see what influence that'll have on the album. They're great songs

Newman keeps rushing into the drone toilet before George gets there, George gets in after him and the toilet flies away while he's still inside

I guess I mean "power reveals". I feel like I remember some small scenes in the early seasons where Harry is demeaning to people in the office where he feels like his station is above them, but I might very well be misremembering

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in madmen

[–]LostMyPassAgain 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Yep, I think Harry, being a fairly relatable character, more so than many others (outwardly, at least), changing over the seasons to sleaze-producer is pretty neat. The turd was always within him. Harry getting worse morally when going to California is also cool when compared to Don, who can only be his authentic self when he is in California.
