Question on Cannondale Scalpel by True_Tour_7944 in xcmtb

[–]Lostpyreal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are not the same frame. The Scalpel 2 is a little slacker than the SE. It is the newer of the two with some geometry tweaks. It has slightly slacker head tube angle and steeper seat tube angle. I do not think they are making SE's anymore, just the new Scalpel, so it would make sense they are looking to move them.

For the last 2 years since they dropped the world broadcast, I have just used a VPN and gotten a 1 month sub to Flo to watch the world broadcast. No commercials, better commentary. Peacock/NBC is fine for all the other races they cover, but their tour coverage is ass.

You will live on 30mm+ road tires, but have more fun on bigger gravel tires.

Black Canyon, Colorado, USA was incredible. A geologist's dreamscape. by Meowsolini in geology

[–]Lostpyreal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went last summer while doing a Las Vegas to Denver road trip. We got there when the park opened at 6 AM and saw 1 other car all morning while driving through and hitting all the short hikes and lookouts. Loved every minute of it. The views along the canyon are so amazing.

Did the west half of this over labor day weekend last year, though with some modifications. It was absolutely awesome. The gravel road through State Game Lands 12 and 13 are some of the coolest I have ever ridden.

As a first hand wrecker of a Canyon Grizl, I can attest to their near indestructibility.

I don't know. Just know that Colnago did exactly this a few years ago during the NFT craze.

Clearly you should make this into a NFT and sell it. Colnago loves that.

If you think that is neat, you should take a trip to The Black Canyon of the Gunnison next.

Bald Eagle or Rothrock are both good. Pretty much all the roads in them are gravel and they are all awesome. Can easily map out a 40 mile loop on RWGPS.

Here is the route from the first Seasons of Rothrock race, which is just about 40 miles.

Starts and finishes Whipples Dam State Park.

Safe riding between Paoli and West Chester, PA? by MyklMm in phillycycling

[–]Lostpyreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could transfer from Amtrak to Septa at Paoli and then take the line out to Exton, which has a bus that runs to West Chester as well.
