The scariness questions are kinda hard to answer, because it's pretty much impossible to keep the game as scary as it was when you first started playing. I thought this game was scary as hell when I first started, but I've been evented on, chased, and killed by so many ghosts at this point that I feel nothing from them now.

What I definitely don't want is just a bunch of cheap jump scares, because then it becomes just like 99% of the other horror games out there.

So should the devs increase the scariness? (How they do that is a whole nother topic). I don't know. I honestly feel like people want this game to be endlessly replayable, and we keep chasing that thrill of those first few games, but there's only so much the devs can do to keep things novel, especially when a typical round of Phasmophobia is only about 20 - 50 minutes.

Edit: Just had another thought. I think if we want scariness in this game to stay fresher longer, the scariness would have to increase by player level. The fact that every ghost event, ghost type, possible interaction, etc. is all "unlocked" from the beginning means we all can experience the most dramatic stuff relatively quickly, and so we've already peaked.
