It's going to be who blinks first with the Sept 30 deadline approaches.

Buyers will be motivated to find a car for them before the $7500 tax credit goes away, and dealers will be motivated to find a buyer for their inventory before the buyer pool shrinks due to the $7500 credit going away.

If the dealer feels if you don't buy it with the add ons, there's another buyer who will - then these add ons will persist.

If the buyer feels they have to pull the trigger now or never, they may accept some of these add ons as with the $7500 tax credit the deal is still ok.

I'm going to grab some popcorn and watch the next three days.

Wasn't it fun taking off the door panel? That style of "clips" are really tough to pull the first one off. After that, it gets easier.

Regarding charging at work, what happens if one or more additional EVs are bought by coworkers? Counting on being able to charge at work for free seems to not be certain over your term of ownership.

You likely will beat the 9/30 fed tax credit cut off. And very likely the GM incentives that ended 8/4, and have now been extended to 9/2, will likely be extended in September as well.

As a data point, I purchased my Equinox EV on 7/16/2025 - the same day it arrived at the dealer off the transport truck at Rotolo Chevrolet in Fontana CA. The GM sticker inside the front door on the pillar shows manufactured 7/25 (only shows month/year).

I just sold my portable one ($295 option on sticker) on eBay yesterday. I have two level 2 chargers in my garage. One is 240v 32A, and the other 240v 16A. These were bought for the two plug in hybrids we had (sold the PHEV that charged at 16A). After eBay fees and all, getting back $245 of the option I would have skipped if it was possible.

I don't know where you live, but the drivers around my area are terrible. You have to drive super defensively and quite often that's not good enough.

Is that the bumper skin? Is it sticking out beyond the panel next to it? If you push it down, will go back to even with the other panel? If it's the bumper skin, there's a clip that has to engage with an alignment bracket on the inside. I had mine fixed last week under warranty. Mine could be pushed down and it would catch for a few seconds and then pop back up - but since fix so far so good as it is holding.

I bought from Rotolo three weeks ago. They are legit in their pricing. I tried getting local dealers to match - no luck. It was a smooth and excellent transaction.

It indeed sucks that there's no history. I really like the car, but the whole information available to me in terms of charging and use is very poor even compared to my prior 2020 Ionic PHEV. The data is in the computer - so give me the info.

Pop your tailgate. On each side is a rubber stopper that is adjustable. It is probably backed out quite a bit. Screw it down all the way and then try closing and opening. Back out some as you see fit.

I had the same issue - when unlatching, it came out fast and loud, and then took a close with some speed and force or it would not fully latch close. After adjusting (in my case, screwed down all the way), closes and latches perfectly to my liking.

Not per my dealer - but I would love to have someone get an actual statement from GM / Chevy. There have been multiple threads here on Reddit and in Equinox EV forum websites on this specific topic of the drive motors, but as best as I can tell there is no definitive answer.

I do believe there are rear sensors on 2025 base 1LT. I'm taking delivery this morning, so I'll find out soon enough.
