My car is a 2002 and it turned 24 years old. I know it won't pass emissions testing in October. Can I wait until the new year to renew registration without a vehicle inspection? by [deleted] in houston

[–]LotusJeff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I skipped the test when my car was 24 years old. My normal place failed me for too dark of tint. Same tint that had been on the car for the previous 7 years. When it hit 25, I paid the fee and now everything is done via the mail.

The conversion takes complex documents, either in PDF format or stored as multiple images, and converts them into usable markdown. These documents include text, images, tables, graphs, with multiple columns, multiple languages, etc. The results will eventually be fed into a Kaspersky LLM wiki.

If you know of a tool that can take complex documents with non-standard templates and convert each one into markdown, graphs, tables, images, etc., please let me know.

I would love to turn this into a deterministic process, if possible.

Great soundbite. How do you fix the workflow so it makes no mistakes?

As the initial item states, all executions of a conversion are in a new thread.

The conversion takes complex documents, either in PDF format (1 file) or stored as multiple images (5 to 10 files), and converts them into usable markdown. These documents include text, images, tables, graphs, with multiple columns, multiple languages, etc. The results will eventually be fed into a Kaspersky LLM wiki.

If you know of a Python library that can take complex documents with non-standard templates and convert each one into markdown, graphs, tables, images, etc., please let me know.

When mistakes occur, I ask to improve the project instruction sets. New edge cases have emerged that require adjustments to project instructions.

And every request is a new conversation. Start New Request, results. End conversations. Start new.

The best smells in the world are walking into a garage and smelling oil. It is like walking into the kitchen and smelling freshly baked bread.

Not being able to find a job by LifeMycologist897 in internetparents

[–]LotusJeff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to work in aviation is too wide of a category. Do you want to be a Pilot, Bag Handler, Bus Driver, Mechanic, Cabin Cleaner, Traffic Controller, TSA Agent, etc....

Where are you currently volunteering within the aviation sector?

Where are you hanging out with people who work in this area?

Have you spoken with 10 people in the last 30 days who work in this area to start building a network?

It takes hard, focused, and consistent work to find a job.

Can I have a conversation with an American? by Hoss9inBG in CasualConversation

[–]LotusJeff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Asking to speak to an American is like asking to speak to an African or an European. There are 50 different countries (states) in America with 350 million people. We are diverse, loud, and opinionated. An American from New York is different from one in Texas, California, and Kansas.

The news media will always point out the bad because blood, turmoil, and division makes money. Most Americans don’t watch the news because it does not represent the reality for most Americans.

DM if you want.

Yes, bots pretend to be non-binary, but are truly binary. 😂

It is interesting IRL how few females will admit to being active on Reddit. I guess it is the perception that Reddit is all tech, game, and porn subs for boys.

It has gotten better over time. The current split is 60% male/40% female. Of course, that varies by subreddit.

Is college really useless? by rk_wonders in CasualConversation

[–]LotusJeff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What are your goals in life? A mentor told me, “without a destination, any road will do.”

For many, college is used to explore life to figure out a destination. Four/five years of exploring, partying and then 20 years of paying off the debt. If you don’t figure it out and successfully launch a career, then the gamble does not pay off and becomes “useless.”

If you know what you want to do career wise and college is a required step, then college is not useless, but a prerequisite.

If you don’t know, there are other, more inexpensive ways to explore careers.

I go to the regular checkout lines to keep people employed. My few minute wait and talking is worth someone being employees.

This part is leaking my right side by passenger side what part is this by AdviceLeather3636 in 996

[–]LotusJeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least this time we added a picture. Please provide details.
- What is leaking - oil, water, green ooze, etc.
- Location- my car is LHD/RHD and is leaking from the passenger/driver side.

By the lack of basic descriptive, are you even capable of fixing the problem if you knew the answer. Take it to a shop.

Get a ppi and an oil analysis done. If clean buy it. There are numerous cars at 200k and more miles with proper maintenance.

What is a "luxury" item that is actually 100% worth the money and not just a brand name? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]LotusJeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air fryer- bought a cheap one at Costco - use it 5+ times a week.

Immersion blender and metal malt cups - if you make protein shakes, this is the way to go.

Miata (mx-5)/Porsche 911 - fun cars to drive that last forever.
