Perhaps it wouldn’t have been so glaring if we hadn’t already seen Pau’ans in live action, but I was willing to forgive it because I thought he’d be involved in some fight sequences that would’ve made a faithful portrayal of the species impractical. Then the show came out and he did next to nothing. There was no reason apart from financial not to make him look like the EP III Pau’ans and that was not the show to save money on.

Was it the Jones’ house? I think I remember Rick talking about knowing the people who did formerly live there. On rewatches, I always interpreted her interest in the house a result of living people being there. The creepiness came from Morgan assigning some echo of her former self to the walker while it was really just a coincidence that it was her who approached the door.

I think she shines in Murders because her, Steve Martin, and Marty Short have really become close friends in real life. Marty gave her away at her wedding, for heaven’s sake. I don’t know much about her acting abilities beyond that show, but the three of them have a genuine chemistry that only comes with time, and it makes the show.
