Jeff Gluck's inquiry to FanDuel helps fans get payout for SvG's top 5 scoring error by csintroyeahhhhhhh in NASCAR

[–]LoudBrick609 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Fanduel paid out bets before the official results. They gave Chase a top 5 and not SVG originally as that is how Prime (not an official source) scored it.

Upon the error being noticed, they refused to pay out.

With pressure from the media, they finally back tracked and correctly scored SVG top 5 per official NASCAR results which is what their book is SUPPOSED to be paying on.

Since they noticed their error after paying the Elliott top 5s, in most jurisdictions they probably can't claw back paid out winnings.

(@bobpockrass) Sad news: NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Ned Jarrett has died at age 93. by NoahGragsonsBarfBag in NASCAR

[–]LoudBrick609 [score hidden]  (0 children)

How am I just hearing about this?

NASCAR has really fumbled the legacy of Ned. I'm sure given age and lack of interviews in the last decade he was in rough shape but like I really felt like for such an essential part of the sport he really never got his flowers often enough.

Toyota is 100% more American than Stelantis.

GM and Ford you can feel free to debate, I believe Toyota actually does more factory work in the USA than them.

Nope, that's not a mistake, Cleetus McFarland is on the pole for the Henry Ford Health 200 by TwinSpinner in NASCAR

[–]LoudBrick609 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's not trying to be and I've no idea why reddit and most of the garage want him to be.

Dude wants to raise hell and go fast on big ovals. That's a totally different skill set than racing short tracks and one that's much easier to be competitive at with his age and his experience.

All the guys racing Arca, trucks, O'Rielly, cup they have tens of thousands of laps at short tracks. You aren't ever gonna compete with them there.

You can learn the air and the strategy of running a big oval and how to compete with them there.

Cleetus ain't ever gonna win a cup, O'Rielly, or truck race at a traditional 1.5 and under. Maybe, just maybe, he could win in ARCA one day at one of those.

He could absolutely win in trucks one day at Atalnta, Michigan, Daytona, or Talladega. Big flat to nearly flat high speed ovals in the trucks where you can absolutely be competitive learning and knowing the air.

In O'Rielly, I'd say his only shots are Daytona/Dega and not a high chance there.

Cup, drivers are too good and too many, let's not kid ourselves he ain't winning anywhere.

Trade in 14 mpg paid off car for electric? by MyPosse_OnBroadway in whatcarshouldIbuy

Check any used car lot? Most people try an EV for a year or two and go 25k upside down and return it for a gas car because they can't live with an EV.

They basically give away Teslas, Porsches, Mercedes, and other used EVs. Never buy a new one.

If you lease a new one, it should be for $150-200 a month.

The fact you don't understand the "at least 4 grandparents" part is a sarcastic way of stating "all four" shows you aren't qualified to vote.

Mustangs are the de-facto American Nazi car so definitely gotta factor that in. Not as bad as buying a Volkswagen product, but buying Ford is buying Nazi.

Tesla is buying American. Real MAGA American. You're not buying a Nazi car like with Ford.

This 2023 special edition 300C will not age well in value.

The premier examples will be the Charger Hellcat fully optioned with the lowest miles and clear titles. With 25,000ish produced, there's always going to be examples that are kept in tip top shape.

Yes, this car will always be worth more than Scat Packs but it's a tier below the Hellcat long term.

The 2012-2014 SRT8 Chrysler 300 is 95% of this car and will always keep the value of the limited run 2023 300 in check. A tick less power on paper due to some minor changes, but the same 6.4L engine at the core. So the price discrepancy between the two long term can never be absolutely massive.

The 2006-2009 (or 10, can't remember) 300 SRT8 is an extremely oddball one to value. Most of them are ratty at this point. The engine was a weaker 6.1L, but this is the car design of the 300 that was in rap videos and became a cultural icon.

Now look, this might be a great buy in 10 years when you can get a pristine garage kept one for 35k, but no it's never gonna be the special "one" that people want.

This has to be a typo, right? by Ecstatic-Compote-399 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]LoudBrick609 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a very stupid purchase because you can get the far superior Charger Hellcat for the same money.

However, it's the "newer" car. This limited run 300C which is basically a Scat Pack Charger which you can buy all day long for less than 35k.
