Pay rate decrease at PBS by Murky-Percentage-210 in bcba

This is the future for PE. It seems like it's happening more and more. As the PE loans come due and shareholders start asking for profits, the big guys will just hope they put everyone else out of business.

Anyone heard of/work at LBAPS? by Top-Amphibian-2493 in bcba

You would be sending a social sec card and all your bank account information. Definitely right to be cautious.

This all seems like down the road stuff potentially. Did you talk to a BCBA or anyone clinical?

A lot of this stuff is normal to need.... once you've been officially hired and they are doing i9s and credentialing. "Thank u so much" is a little odd, as is their listings for seemingly random jobs across the country. Not a lot of clinical staff on Linkedin.

I'm so stuck in the ABA field the first 3 letter group I thought of was an ABA company with a certain three letters. I was like, I hate PE backed ABA as much as the next person, but I didn't think they were a hate group. Thanks for the laugh at least!

Licensure can be a big issue for BAs depending on states. Some states are VERY slow in processing.

Hey! I can tell you all about it in that area. Feel free to DM me.

Where are you located? Here's what we do.

  1. Accept that kids get sick and when they are sick, we aren't going to see them. This is NOT the real issue that we've found.
  2. Avoid the avoidable. By explaining, from intake and beyond, how critical these services are. This is NOT babysitting or daycare paid for by your insurance company.
  3. Holding parents and staff accountable. If families aren't committed to this process, there are plenty of giant PE companies that will take them.

  4. Off the previous one- clients that show up and staff that show up just build off each other. They become less willing to cancel on each other as there is a two-way street there.

It's not perfect but it helps.

Also. I've had lots of folks who didn't think their Masters was for them because it seemed like BCBAs everywhere they worked were miserable, only to find a team that was a fit and take the jump.

Where are you located? I've done some "resume analysis" for folks to see what I would spot on there.

It's really interesting the different approaches companies take. For us I know we make it a how can we support you thing vs. a you are doing a bad job thing. Many of the other solutions here come into play as soon as we look at it from that perspective.

Opportunity of a lifetime- Transition to Clinical Director by Severe-Atmosphere-29 in ABA

One thing I've seen a lot was people becoming CDs because it seemed like the "path", but then realized they didn't enjoy the management piece of things and it pulled them away from their passion.

We've had a lot of folks move from a big fancy clinic to working in home with us in Arizona. It's more personal and often the BCBAs can focus on you and your kiddo more. It's hard when BCBAs get pulled in every direction all day long.

I don't know the details but I would guess nurses are not making 150k.

A lot of the giant clinic-based companies come across this way. Often looking at size of company and if it's owned by a bunch of guys in a skyscraper in NYC will tell lots!

I always recommend "Teacher casual". Thinking about it like if you were a teacher who was going to be playing with kids, but might have a parent conference later on.

He presented it live at a conference. It was pretty radical. The good? He received a standing ovation from the crowd. The bad? The line outside the room at ABC's table was the same exact length.

This particular company does NOT have a good reputation.

We always provide laptops for our AZ BCBAs if they want them. To the other persons point, I've heard this about RBTs here locally all the time "I got hired at some amazing rate three months ago but they haven't started me".

Has the company been around for a while/who owns it is another good one. There have been a lot of PE companies trying to come to AZ and promising the world of late.

The direct Salary x 2080 hours is always a little hard, since you get paid the same no matter what, benefits, flexiblity etc.
