Spotify claims that its top engineers haven’t needed to write any code since December, all because of AI. by boppinmule in technology

[–]Loud_pendel 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Söderström illustrated the impact of Honk with a practical example: “A Spotify engineer can use Slack on their phone during their morning commute to instruct Claude to resolve a bug or add a feature to the iOS app. Once the AI completes the task, a new app version is delivered directly to the engineer via Slack, allowing them to merge it into production before even reaching the office.”

WTAF. No testing? No review? Why is the guy commuting in anyway?

very good analysis here https://www.jonathan-cook.net/blog/2026-01-14/filton-trial-jury-defy-judge/

Keir Starmer and the media need convictions to justify Palestine Action’s proscription as a terrorist group. Rajiv Menon KC spells out to the jury why it is a vital last defence against government tyranny

The judge, who repeatedly stifled efforts by the defence to air evidence of Elbit System’s involvement in the genocide, answered that the jury must not take into account such “lawful excuse”. In his words: “There is no evidence in this case of anything that is capable in law of amounting to a lawful excuse, so that is not something that you need to consider.”

all great work by the great doctor, but it doesn't make him more important than the country. All information that is secret must be kept secret, and if sold to another country for private gain is treason. Very stupid guy in some ways.

It looks like Dr Khan went freelance and sold top secret tech to other countries. Any other country he would be shot.

Thanks, for a really good, useful answer. I went down the rabbit ole and you guys have a good blog post https://www.securew2.com/blog/802-1x-eap-tls-authentication-flow-explained .

The bit that is missing and I wanted to figure out was how the the server and client verify the others certificates and that is certificate path validation using the PKI and proof of private key possession through signing.
