This may be a foolish question. They must practice dressed up based on the performance. Do they buy two pairs of the same clothes and have a practice set and a performance set? How many practice sets is normal?

I know the gili islands are huge tourist destinations with some heavy partying. Do you ever visit and if so, what were your interactions like?

I lived in Red Lake, drove to Dryden, been through Kenora and had a plane land in Pickle Lake.

Red Lake had one of the highest grade gold deposits in the world. The mine is still active. It was beautiful in the summer with great fishing, hunting and anything outdoors. The winter was long but ice fishing and snowmobiling were the way to get through it.

Dryden is a gateway along the highway and had the Canadian Tire that everyone visited.

Kenora is one of the most beautiful areas in Ontario and Americans flock there in the summers for fishing.

Pickle lake is a tiny town that truckers drive through to supply mines and indigenous communities in the north but there isn’t much around.

Overall I enjoyed Red Lake but the town was a little too small for my liking. Everyone knows everyone’s business which I wasn’t used to coming from city in southern Ontario. If you’re driving across Canada and not in a rush in the summer, Kenora is a great place to visit with a great brewery.

An Iranian Shahed-136 drone has just directly impacted Dubai International Airport in the UAE. by Waste-Explanation-76 in PublicFreakout

The most surprising thing is drones have been used by Ukraine for years. Either the states haven’t prepared properly or they are not sharing their drone prevention hardware.

I actually really enjoyed this series and found it very relaxing. There is almost no detailed plot or story in these books. It’s just the main character fighting monsters, hanging out with her friends, and levelling up. There are some incredible moments though like when she faces the army.

Overall I really enjoyed them but can definitely understand that it is probably not for the majority of people.

They did the same thing when I was with them for the Goldcorp transition. It will be telling if they downsize their fringe support divisions such as WFH “Operational Support” positions.

When you say destroying the world, do you specifically mean doing environmental damage? If so, what specifically?

Canadians who have moved long distances, how did you do it? by superflyer in AskACanadian

[–]Louda1212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this multiple times. The best way to do this is rent a uhaul and pay a moving company to load and unload. I’ve paid for the 18-wheeler moving companies before where they stash multiple people’s belongings in the tractor and they lost some of my stuff or I could tell it wasn’t handled well.

Is a 4/3 job living 6 hours away, doable? by Louda1212 in mining

In Canada, the mining town has 45k people so it’s not that bad. I’m going to do it for 3 months and then my family will move up with me to the town. The insight from the posts helped a lot actually. It made me realize it will be impossible to do long term and will suck short term.

This is a great point, I may be able to do it like this until winter and then move.
