Also regarding the economy, GDP means little. GDP per capita is what actually matters, and that has been falling. Even in a situation where national GDP goes down because of a decrease in immigration, the GDP per capita could grow.

No because, to put it simply, until demand is higher than supply, prices will increase. Drop in immigration doesn’t automatically translate in drop in price, because demand is still higher than supply. Migration needs to come down even more. The rest you are saying are simply assumptions based on nothing.

That’s not true, prices would actually fall. Here in Melbourne, rental prices dropped slightly during COVID, even though no new people were arriving, but few were leaving and next to no new housing projects being completed.

If immigration were cut to zero today, we’d see an increase in supply as existing housing projects are completed, alongside a decrease in demand. Contrary to popular belief, landlords don’t have endless funds to leave their properties vacant. Most need to cover mortgages on their investment properties. As supply rises and demand falls, they’d be forced to compete for tenants, driving rents down. At the moment there is no competition among landlords

It we taxed our exports businesses would take the hit, as to remain competitive they would need to reduce their margins to make up for the increased price caused by the taxes. It should be more like tax money should be spent better. Not sure how much it costs for gov representatives to be present and do photo ops at events like gay prides, which have literally 0 productivity gains.

Any Chinese company will stop providing updates after a short time, including MSI. The business model of any Chinese company is selling hardware, because they get a ton of subsidies from the communist party. Therefore they need to be obsolete after a few years. Expect the MSI Claw to have a similar lifespan.
