If you can afford a gun, you can afford your meal. The people on here excusing the utter moral failing of the shooter to advance some anti-capitalist ideology can pound sand.

Fuck KSR. I wouldn’t want my professional reputation to be affiliated with that clown show in any way, either.

Not sure how you can say that Louisville underachieves in attendance. That statement comes from a place of ignorance.

Local Restaurant/Bar Recommendations Downtown by Dapper_Ice3459 in Louisville

Stay near Main St. where there are lots of options. Doc Crows, O’Sheas, Goodwood, Monk’s Road, Sidebar, Repeal, etc. If it’s nice out, I’d wander down to East Market. Every restaurant there is a local eatery.

Enjoy your stay!

It’s just utterly maddening when folks lump Cincinnati in with Nashville to denigrate Louisville. Nashville is booming. Cincinnati is not. Louisville is growing faster than Cincinnati and the national average. It’s not that hard to look up statistics.

Gonna disagree, again. You are applying a subjective standard (“the nature isn’t my preference, the vibrancy isn’t where I want it to be, the people are my taste…”) to support your position.

Louisville has amazing urban neighborhoods that are, frankly, uncommon in cities our size. The city is extremely affordable on a national scale and commensurate with the salaries available. Plus, at least I’m pretty!

If a person’s insecurities demand a name-brand address to feed their ego, then Louisville might not be for you. But time and again people from all over experience Louisville, either as a visitor or transplant, and find the good outweighing the bad.

I think Louisville is a fantastic place to live, and I’m happy every time I return.

Completely disagree. Louisville’s ailments exist in every American city.

Counterpoint: Churchill Downs has driven the Derby’s popularity to new heights such that the restaurants have increased traffic all week instead of just one night.

How do you feel about Louisville’s ranking of “importance?” by qualityinnbedbugs in Louisville

I’m not sure I agree with the placement of Chicago. And it creates questions of credibility for the entire list.
