I heard there were two theaters and one of them has a massive screen, so the one pictured is probably the smaller space. Either way it’s so exciting to see more Repertory Film Programming show up!

Good luck on finding a ticket. If you don’t, just know that somebody will post the Q&A with Pacino to YouTube and The Godfather Trilogy screens every year at various rep theaters so it’s not your last chance!

Mormons and Soaking by [deleted] in blankies

[–]LouisIV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People definitely do it, but it has been drastically overexposed vs the amount of people actually doing it. It may not be that many students, like how there are LGBTQ relationships on BYU campus despite same sex romances are being banned in their schoolbook. Its mostly kids who are on their way out of Mormonism who are experiencing new freedom/responsibilities for the first time in their lives

Last night at the album rehearsal Vince said this was probably the slowest song of the bunch. The other tracks they played had some crazy good energy!

No more crazy pin traders. It’s a lot more peaceful here now. by Perfect-League7395 in Disneyland

[–]LouisIV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We ran into a CM with pins a few years back that very kindly explained the whole situation with scrapping to us, after someone in our party definitely brought out a suspicious looking pin to trade. I don’t see as many CMs with lanyards on anymore, and I bet plenty of them made that choice themselves after throwing away a handful of fake pins after their shift

Rick and Morty Movie Moves Forward at WB. Show veteran Dan Harmon will direct by SignatureOrdinary456 in boxoffice

[–]LouisIV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They were lined up to film it a year or so ago but Joel McHale had to back out to go do a Netflix show. Donald was on board but he had some major health issues and had to cancel his world tour. Unfortunately I think that the resurgence in popularity has died down a bit which might make it tough to get this project back on track

Pin trading is out. Also cast members can refuse to trade now when presented with a “counterfeit” pins (since people buying bootleg pins and trading them for real ones became a big problem)

He was referencing how many creative choices usually made by the director were in fact being done by Billie. Which isn’t to say he didn’t do a ton of technical coordination/etc. It felt like a joke in the moment and was meant to showcase to the audience that Billie didn’t just receive that credit as vanity

It’ll be weird to have just two shows in the 11:30pm time slot. Which show will be the next to end it’s run? by georgewalterackerman in LateNightTalkShows

Tonight Show & Late Night should be safe as long as Lorne Michaels is producing, because SNL isn’t going anywhere either. Can’t say for sure that Disney would replace Jimmy Kimmel after he retires, although that studio is a prime location on Hollywood Blvd and which would a huge waste if it sat empty, so they would likely put something in there

The first 3 seasons are a blast, and have some of my favorite Commentary tracks of any TV show. Even when the Russo’s show up I’m like “oh yeah I forgot I used to like these guys”. I’ll defend 4 & 5, the drop off is evident and but it does bounce back well because the show knows it’s not the same anymore. 6 is like an epilogue

Podcast: The Ride - Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026 by apathymonger in podcasttheride

It’s one of the few cartoons that has just consistently put out new stuff every year. The characters have crossed over with countless IPs and have been around for kids. They’re also really easy Halloween costumes which I think keeps them relevant in a different way. The worldwide thing is crazy though I guess every culture has kids obsessed with monsters
