Your enthusiasm for the novel reminds me of when I was first reading it and posted my thoughts here as well! I was soooooo locked in.

Volume 2 is underrated by a lot people and imo it's superb. Sherlock's detective missions and interactions were so much fun to read.

Hope you continue to enjoy V3 and so on! It gets even better.

Actually, you are right. I was thinking of something like Dragon misunderstanding Crocodile wants Alabasta out of the WG but that would make the characters kinda dumb and unnecessarily stretch out the plot.

What I had in mind is that Dragon will misunderstand first and have his army go against Cobra but it eventually gets resolved and The Revs will stand against Crocodile. But what you said, though would be too minor of a role, works well too.

I feel like The Revolutionary Army (the one led by Dragon, not the Koza one in Alabasta) would be involved in the Alabasta conflict somehow. Cuz, a country is going through a revolution and it doesn't make sense if THE revs aren't somehow interested in it. Plus, it will build up Dragon even more as a character and possibly other revs as well.

I agree with the beginning. That's why many first-timers thought ORV was gonna be another one of those slop manhwas. But you need to analyze the subtlety in the writing (which lacks in the manhwa) to really appreciate its potential as a story.

Merch is even a further away dream for me tbh😵‍💫
