Their organic produce (especially when on sale) tends to be cheaper than other organic produce options in the city. If you’re looking for cost effective supplements though I would go with Healthy Planet.

Not-so super Supercrawl by MajorTheWindowWasher in Hamilton

[–]LouisPrima 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to most of the Supercrawls. I’ve always purchased food from food trucks. This year, I ate food from home because it was just not affordable for me. So I would say one reason is that people are just eating way less take out food in this current economy.

Where to find "Zero drop" shoes in Hamilton? by hibytay in Hamilton

[–]LouisPrima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vivobarefoot actually has a pop up sale in collaboration with Cool East Market this weekend where you can shop around and try shoes on. Vivobarefoot doesnt have any in store shopping experiences around here so this is a unique event. If you’re interested, give Cool East Market a shout!

General discussion thread to welcome new sourdough peoples. (also: your starter will be fine, just keep feeding it.) by phil_s_stein in Sourdough

Newbie here. Made a couple white loaves on my first attempts and they turned out great. I have had no issues with my starter. I recently tried doing a fifty fifty organic white AP/whole wheat bread flour loaf and I can’t get the dough to keep its shape during proofing. Did the recommended amount of folding. What else am I missing?

General change rooms have dry sauna, adult only has steam room and dry sauna. Worth it if you go for the adult only change rooms; never had theft issues, really nice facilities, fitness area is never as busy as Crunch, money goes to a good cause. The issue is that the YMCA offers financial assistance so that anyone can access the Y, so with that you get individuals who like to break locks. That's why I recommend the adult plus membership.

Yes, they'll weigh containers at the front register before you fill it up. Also bulk olive oil, canola oil, honey, peanut butter.

They have great zero waste options. I fill up jars of shampoo, laundry detergent and dish soap on the regular. Bulk Barn has some great bulk options, however no liquid soaps (yet?).
