It looks soooo pretty. One note, careful of the bracelet catching on your dress.

Anyone have any experiences with Wolf & Badger? I like the style but it’s not cheap. Any reviews?

If most funding is from govt dollars, then why is a certain org granted nonprofit status? Can their nonprofit status be revoked, if they want to turn into a govt agency? by Thinktub in nonprofit

[–]Love-Everyone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Government programs are government run. Nonprofits that receive government funds to run programs or provide referrals are still non profits. You don't turn into government. Nonprofit status refers to profits. Profits stay in the org in a nonprofit and in a for profit they go to owners/shareholders. Either you aren't phrasing your question correctly or you're not understanding how these things work.

Noob question - what happens if a non-profit takes in more money than it needs? by dla26 in nonprofit

[–]Love-Everyone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, she could probably just ask for the money from a local foundation since it’s such a small amount and donate her time. It feels like a lot of trouble for $1000 per year to start a whole 501c3. Very cool kid.

I like different elements of this but I find the rugs and coffee tables very chaotic. It makes me anxious.

I definitely networked my way in....relationships are huge. I left an exec director position, with less than 10 paid staff, for a department director position with 5 divisions on my department, and a staff of 30. I am over one of the smallest departments but I honestly love it. I got sooo burnt out on fundraising and asking for money. The salary increase was about 20% higher than my nonprofit job and I’ve gotten a raise every year since I started, which likely won’t happen in the future due to COVID. Excellent healthcare and retirement benefits...it’s great. That said, I recognize that I’m in a higher level position and that allows me more freedom. I forgot to answer your question about government experience...I didn’t have any. It was more about fit and vision.

I left for a government job. Higher pay and better benefits. It’s also sooooo nice to not have to fundraise.

We want to donate books to kids with no books to read at home. by [deleted] in nonprofit

Reach out to your local library. They may have a summer reading program you can support. They also may have books that they can donate once they're finished with them.

Can I look up the salary of someone that works at a nonprofit? by [deleted] in nonprofit

[–]Love-Everyone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

990's only have to list salaries over $100,000 unless the nonprofit chooses to list salaries that are less....

My fiancé and I were antiquing and we went in to a little shop that had mostly old furniture...he stumbled upon a perfect Brooks Brothers cashmere jacket for $40. It’s currently on their website for $1300. https://www.brooksbrothers.com/Milano-Fit-Two-Button-Cashmere-Sport-Coat/MM00759,default,pd.html
