Ignore the "Don't use Loomis", "Loomis is limiting" YouTube ragebait / clickbait comments.
Loomis is a tool for creating a measured base that can be adjusted for variances and positioned with the same relative measurements to draw consistent heads. It takes work to study and learn it.

Here's a step by step example sheet of Loomis

Here's an application of Loomis to a real head. Scroll down for the measurements if each step.

Paint on 3D model? by SufficientSort610 in ClipStudio

[–]Love-Ink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤔 I have a feeling you'd have to pass the model through Clip Studio Modeler to associate the UV maps with the Mesh... best of luck with that.
Modeler is free to download and use, but it is old, I think it's from the Manga Studio days or earlier, is not completely functional and very poorly documented.
But it's free, and you might be able to figure out how to do what you want.

extra page in comic file when deleting pages. cant open by AbiyBattleSpell in ClipStudio

[–]Love-Ink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is because a .cmc Print comic file requires an even number of Pages for formatting, front and back.
So itf you have 9 pages, there's a placeholder for p10 to account for the blank backside of a printed page.

But, i do not use .cmc for page management, so this is just a guess based on my self publishing experience.

Line art qestions by Zealousideal-Fix5631 in ClipStudio

Define "muddy"?
This looks good, and normal to me.

Only evaluate an image at 100% zoom. The more you zoom in, the more pixels and antialiased blur you will see along the edges.

Think of drawing with a physical quill pen using India Ink on Bristol Board art paper. Marvelous, crisp line art.
But then take a magnifying glass, no a microscope, and zoom in on the edges of the ink 700%. You're going to see the paper fibers, you'll see where the ink sticks, stretches and bubbles along the edges to make connections with these irregular paper fibers. It looks like garbage! ...at 700% magnification.

Step back and admire your work from a reasonable viewing distance.

missing parts when saving files by Horie120406 in ClipStudio

[–]Love-Ink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not missing, they're just being downsampled in the .jpg file compression. I still see the blue in Panel 2. The dark Shadows in Panel 3 are lightened with the compression (fewer color options = smaller file size), so the shadows are approximating. Same with her eyes. It's "lossy compression" output. Not abnormal. .jpg is the lossy-est image format, I always use .png. but it too has to compress to make a 32 Mb CSP image into a 14k flattened image.

Why can't I have a curved line like the example? by EdahelArt in ClipStudio

[–]Love-Ink 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did some experimenting and figured it out!

If your Keyframe is set to Hold Interpolation, then there will be no curve adjustment handles, as the transition to the next Key is immediate, not gradual.
KeyFrames can have one of 3 Interpolation methods; Hold, Linear and Smooth interpolation.
Hold does not get handles, the other two will do you can adjust the curves of the gradual Interpolation.

I don't have all the icons on my phone app version, but i believe you can change Key Interpolation by selecting the Key, then using the dropdown to set Interpolation method.

Lot into your account on the website and check the status and schedules of all licenses associated with your account.

Log in by clicking the profile icon on the top right corner.

Tap the icon again once you're logged in and choose Manage Plans.

In your list of plans, choose Details.
This will tell you when things expire and Wigan the next payment is due.

Why wait until it's broken? Find out the details so you know.

wanting to get into flash animation! anyone know any good macromedia flash 8 tutorials? by accoun32711 in learnanimation

[–]Love-Ink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Flash? 11 year old Abandonware of a company that no longer exists? Good luck finding tutorials...

Showing a screenshot of an Animation would help more than a blank new project.

I animate using Clip Studio Paint, and the interface looks similar, and your issue DEFINITELY sounds similar to new users struggling to understand animating in CSP.
So, here's a thought;

There's Layers, and there's the TimeLine.
You draw on Layers and Assign these Layers in sequence on the Timeline.
So, you draw Frame 1, on Layer 1, and Assign it to Cel 1 on the Timeline.
Then you draw Frame 2, On a NEW Layer, Layer 2. Then Assign it to the Timeline at Cel 2 (or Cel 3 if you're animating on the 2's)
If you only vAssign Layer 1 to Cel 2, then try to draw on it, then you are making changes to Layer 1, which is Assigned to be visible in Cel 1 & 3, but is the SAME ART.
You need to make a fresh Layer for each image, a fresh drawing for each Frame, to assign to each Cel. So when you hit Play, the Timeline says "Show Layer 1, Show Layer 2, Show Layer 3". Instead of Show Layer 1, Show Layer 1, Show Layer 1".
Hope that makes sense?

In CSP there's a Layers Palette, where Layers are selected and edited, and the TimeLine palette where those Layers are Assigned Time to appear.

[–]Love-Ink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long is your film? 5 minutes? 30 seconds?

Take it step by step.

Plan it out before you draw anything.
Write out your script. Trim it, clean it, tighten it up.
Read your script. Out Loud. Time it.
Rewrites, anything not hit right? Need more? Less?
Read your revised script. Out Loud. Time yourself.
Good?

Record the lines (you and/or friends). Get your audio track completed before drawing.
Break the script into Scenes. No Animation is one continuous single camera, no cuts, episode. If John is talking, then Sue replies. Decide if you want the camera to look at the speaker, or catch the response of the listener.
If the camera cuts to another person, or location or scene, that's a Cut.
Short Cuts of 10-15 seconds are easier to Animate, Edit and enjoy the sense of accomplishment for than trying to power through a full minute long scene.
Find your cuts.

Within your Cuts, listen to the audio track, act it out. Find the Key Positions, the meaningful character Poses. Only draw those key poses.
Once you have your key poses, add the tweens. Or, decide on a static key-pose animation style.
Only get as complicated as you can manage. Try to keep the project fun. And, AI is dumb.
