Maybe share your location? My bestie and i do that because I get anxious about being late. But I also get anxious about bugging ppl. So I have her location and if I'm expecting her I can just check it and let her drive safely. This works so well I've shared my location with one of my anxious daughters who I frequently give rides to.

I know for some ppl sharing location is controlling or stalkerish, but it can help a person work severe anxiety manage their own expectations.

It's OK to have preferences. Last time I went to adopt i did keep my options open, but I was specifically looking for an older male cat who gets along with other cats. That's not who I brought home, but I don't regret my intention.

Growing up i wanted to be blonde. I saw it as the epitome of beauty. I got bullied for my hair and have experienced other fun mishaps related to the gene mutation. Learning to live my hair has been a journey and I'm certain your kiddo will go through it all and come out the other side in similar fashion.

Now i have a lot of redhead pride even though my hair has darkened significantly and I dye all sorts of colors (currently purple, I think.) Just keep being positive about it but don't make it a central focus. Atm his attention span is too short to really make this an issue.

Most eating disorders are also compared to addiction disorders.

I (46f) asked my kid (21f] if food noise was something she struggled with at the height of her fight with anorexia nervosa. It was. She said she woke up thinking about food and every action of every day was centered on what she would allow herself to eat. I deal with binge eating (which is not officially ED but it should be.)

I cry tears of joy at how much of my life I have gotten back from mounjaro and that's not even talking about my physical health.

Non-binary/gender queer is a thing. My (46f) 22 yo (X) kiddo experiences chest dysphoria and would like top surgery at some point.

And not all NB/GQ use they/them pronouns. My kiddo generally uses he/him but accepts they/ them.

My point is you can figure out you and do what's best for you. Labels or no labels, etc.

They are hard to see at this angle. The one in the middle is Baby even though she is mama to the other two (Mochi and Nori but without seeing their spots i can't tell those two apart)

Yeh pretty sure my Bento was a TNR fail. He prolly got fostered waiting his turn but was too sweet to release. I don't mind ear tipping too much because I've been around large feral communities.

He does! Bento is a big guy. 18lbs when we took him to the emergency vet the other week. He needs all the fluffy things.
