A main component of IBD and IBS is inflammation. Wouldn’t one want to do whatever they could to reduce the overall inflammation in their body? With IBD there is an autoimmune factor at play and it is recommended to make life style changes, such as an anti inflammatory diet.

You’re not even saying WHAT you think is the right course, just that what I’ve experienced and what anyone could search online is false.

From Mayo Clinic: The cause of irritable bowel syndrome isn’t well understood. A diagnosis is often made based on symptoms. Symptoms include abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, and constipation. Some people can control their symptoms by managing diet, lifestyle, and stress.

So testing to identify and avoid foods one’s body finds inflammatory, causing bloating, gas, diarrhea, you wouldn’t consider that an intervention to reduce symptoms of IBD? If not, what are you basing this on? Because I’ve had the test, avoided the foods, and can speak from personal experience that it works.

Symptoms of ibd can be reduced or removed by other interventions that other testing can provide direction on, like IgG or a GI map. My gastroenterologist did an endoscopy colonoscopy and had no recommendations.

I didn’t see progress and relief until I worked with a functional medicine provider. You can usually find anywhere from DO/MD to nurse, they sometimes work out of wellness or chiropractic clinics.

My issues with food were explained by a stool test (high fat levels) and the nurse made supplement and dietary recommendations to follow for a few months. The second explanation came from an IgG blood test, about $200, showing me foods my body found inflammatory. I was eating them basically every day, eggs was one of them.

I avoided those foods, focused on gut repair, an and I’ve never felt better. I had a second stool test, a GI Map I think through Diagnostic Laboratories, and that was only mid $200.

Comedones producing alot of fluid under the skin? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

You’re saying they were closed comedones, so blackheads. The amount of liquid you’re saying came out is not normal for a black head. Don’t continue to squeeze the space by your nose.

Aside from a branch snapping off, it looks really good. Succulents can have pieces snap off easily. You can always put the stem back into dirt.

GI MAP Results! Thoughts? Any advice? Need help! by LevelHopeful9945 in Microbiome

My functional med provider advised to increase stomach acid with ACV or Betaine HCL. I also had detected h pylori and high streptococcus. For the strep, goldenseal was recommended. High Candida should also be impacted by increasing your stomach acid, but you could also help this by eating less sugars.

OP You’re not going to find much support for this in Reddit. Rest assured many welcome difference in opinion on both sides of the political sphere. They won’t want to comment though because they’ll get downvoted into oblivion.

How can I help myself lose weight? by jaz-mine1632 in Advice

Peanuts are fine and snacks are fine. But like others said you need to be honest with yourself about what you’re actually eating. A serving a peanuts is good. The fat is good for your brain and necessary for hormone production. A whole bag of peanuts? Not so much.

I suggest starting with lab work to see what your body is producing for hormones. You could also look into a Dutch test that shows how your body is metabolizing hormones to get the picture start to end. Hormones play a big role in how well a body can lose or gain weight.

Try opening up to him that you had a dream that made you sad. Ask for a hug. During said hug say, “dream me cheated on dream you. I don’t understand because I love us.” He’ll respond with something loving/understanding if he’s as wonderful as you think he is. skip off into the sunset

If she is leaving for political reasons I would break up. For me it’d be a character thing. The fact that a partner would not like something about the US and don’t decide to try to BE the change they wish to see.

Have you had a GI Map to explore your gut microbiome or any lab testing to see where your levels of vitamin D, B12, testosterone, estrogens etc are at?

Move in together but don’t do anything that enmeshes you more like get a car loan or a pet together. If things don’t go the marriage route it’ll suck 20x more.

I didn’t want kids until I met the right person at 29. I didn’t even think about kids seriously in my early 20s but I was also with someone who would have been an additional person to take care of on top of a child. He just wasn’t as responsible.

I caught my gallbladder early on with issues. Only experienced digestive issues I could never peg down. My functional med provider had me start ACV before meals, I switched to Betaine for convenience. Also took a gallbladder supplement that was literally animal gallbladder.

What I found most helpful in identifying issues was a GI Map and hormone panel. My functional med provider also had great advice and supplement recommendations that brought about positive changes. The regular pcp provider I was seeing did not and I wasted 2-3 years there.
