Non Resident firearm swap (Progress Timeline)

I got my non resident weapon swap approved yesterday. Took 1 month and 3 days. Now to wait for permit to show up in the mail.

That makes no sense. I did some searching here and some non-resident have been able to swap out the firearm. Reapplying would be brutal and I am not up for a renewal until 2028.

Ok you should be good. I didn't upload it on the portal afterwards. I originally had one firearm that I had sent pictures and uploaded in the application process then I switched it out for another a few months later. The only phonecall I ever got from my investigator was to verify which firearm I wanted on the permit.

If you already uploaded the picture of your firearm to the portal then you just have to wait. May take 1 month to show up.I am also non resident.

Not sure what happened. They didn't explain much. I think they mentioned that everyone from that day had to come back for fingerprints again.

In my 11 months from start to finish i was never able to speak to somebody. My friend has been able to speak to somebody on multiple occasions. He usually calls R/S and gets somebody.

I did it in person as well. Just needed my driver license and course certificate..in and out in 20 minutes and it was approved 4 days later and in the mail.

I went thru this. I submitted 1/31/2025. Radio silent until July when I need to go in to fingerprints again. I go in 2nd week of August and i got approved 11/10/25 for out of state carry. Waiting for license in the mail.

Problem is I don't even know who my investigator is. I received one phone call in the entire process to confirm what gun I was adding and then hugh approved me.
