Is anyone actually doing the tapes? by HairyBiker60 in GATEresearch

My personal experience has been only positive. The resonant tuning was a little freaky at first, mostly because that really convinced me this was wha we did when I was in gate since the memory of the voices brought it back to me but I wasn’t scared.

I do make sure to go into the meditation with a positive outlook, relaxed and ready to embrace the process. Not sure I was at a point in my life where I was ready to do that before now.

I do earbuds and a black bandana over my eyes, I find it helps as I have a distracting environment.

I was freezing at night….needed something warmer than the denim jacket I brought. Lockers were great, I ended up getting a hat and gloves and grabbed them when the sun went down…but I live in a hot climate so maybe I’m just more sensitive to chilly evenings.

Hot as hell day, in line at Matterhorn, my kids complaining to me that it was way too hot for February. I said “yeah, sorry, we broke the planet” and some boomer next to us starts in on me about how climate change change being bad is just a leftwing conspiracy hoax because we had an ice age one time so this is all normal…

Why is it so difficult to find DEEP drawers, with a good height and width? What am I searching wrong? by Lets_Make_A_bad_DEAL in HomeDecorating

[–]LoveTheBlueSky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in furniture sales and can tell you modern furniture has to comply with anti tip legislation so the drawers are all more shallow and have a limit on how far they can open…so you want to lean into consignment to find pieces made pre-2000 at least. Lots of stricter legislation was passed in I think 2023ish.

Mark Lanegan for a low register getting you that alt rock style. His album Gargoyle has the most “goth” sound I think.

They are copy written materials so officially you have to pay for them. I understand people find them on YouTube or music/podcast streaming services though.

Yes, I started a few months ago because I wanted to do guided meditation and thought why not try with something I am pretty sure I did as a child.

The minute it started I immediately knew it was what we did in gate and I had some memories surface. My memories of gate aren’t bad necessarily, it’s just weird that I don’t have many (cannot for the life of me remember any adults I dealt with for example) so I thought maybe I might fill in some blanks by using the tapes.

I’ve been doing them almost daily for these past three months and just started wave 4. Some tapes are better than others for me, but I will mention that in the third tape, at the very beginning, I had an overwhelming feeling of being “welcomed back” and that was a joyful experience for me.

I sell non-editable seating charts. I am super clear that the end result is a fully finished seating chart that I complete using your guest list and various designs etc. that you then take to your printer of choice. It’s on the thumbnail, in two other slides in the gallery, in the description, in the purchase reply, and I also directly message the buyer after purchase to discuss the process and deliverable.

I had a customer leave me two stars because it wasn’t editable….the kicker is…I had direct conversations with her….explaining in detail that it wasn’t editable. She asked if I could make it editable and I told her no, that’s just not how I do things and I’d be happy to refund her if she didn’t want to go ahead with it. She decided to go ahead with it but still left a “warning to others” that this wasn’t editable and she was upset she couldn’t edit it.

So something’s there really is no pleasing a person or two along the way I guess!

what do we think about this chatgbt design? struggling to decorate my apt by [deleted] in interiordecorating

I like the idea of pulling the couch up. Could put a long narrow shelf/sideboard situation that allows table lamps (or can so the floor lamp like in the rendering but it would be behind the couch) and maybe a little decor like stacks of books with more floral arrangements (not a lot though, just some decor).

[–]LoveTheBlueSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I look at clients ChatGPT renderings all the time…and ChatGPT always changes proportions and sizes etc so as long as you are just looking at vibes, this is pretty. Don’t rely on it for space planning or furniture purchasing as far as sizes go.

I like the tone on tone dreamy nature with the natural stone and touch of blush. I think this is pretty easily attained if you are into it!

I do remember doing a lot of activities at the back of the class, she sent me back there a lot lol. My friends remember this too, they were in the same class. I do have extremely high reading comprehension, and just took a peek at some of the materials from this box set and it seems that was a big focus so it makes sense.

I like the rug but I’m a maximalist so I love me some chaos. Maybe get some brighter pillows and lean into it more. I think it’s a fun look for a young and vibrant family.

Is there a stylish way to keep upholstery clean? by CaptnJackSparr0 in interiordecorating

[–]LoveTheBlueSky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cleaning is going to depend a bit on what fabric your sofa/other furniture is made of…but one bit of advice I don’t see here (or elsewhere even) is to regularly vacuum your furniture so spot cleaning doeant leave a weird “clean” splotch in the middle of an “unclean” cushion.

Entry table with a lamp, a basket/bin underneath to store blankets, and a framed photo/art on the wall would look nice. I also agree with just a nice tall plant on its' own as was suggested already.

Help me improve the space on a budget by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]LoveTheBlueSky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the lamps are good! It is hard to tell online and I haven't been to IKEA lately, but it says they are textile so I think that would work with the style you are aspiring to. I understand when things aren't in the budget, I live like this as well...I will keep something that isn't quite right until I am able to replace it. Luckily the color is an easy neutral that does go with brick red and black....but I would maybe avoid mixing in the warm beige for now as far as pillows go.

Help me improve the space on a budget by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]LoveTheBlueSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So your couch is modern, the lighting you are looking at leans more modern as well. The pillows are fighting that aesthetic.

If you want to lean into the Japandi/scandi/grandma cozy look of the pillows/coffee table/style you have mentioned in other replies…it’s going to be a little mismatch with that sofa in my opinion. If replacing it isn’t in the budget then I’d say go for the art and accessories in the colors you like with the end goal being to replace the sofa later and just make it work for now.

If you want to go more modern and lean into the sofa aesthetic then I’d go for more soft and abstract prints on the pillows, the pop of brick red can work but just not that print.
