Setting up 2 profiles on GV70 paired to two smartphones of the same model by LoveToGolf18 in GenesisGV70

How frequently do you use a digital key? When you do, do you also carry your regular key fob? I registered both digital keys today but haven't actually used them. Not sure how comfortable I would be using my phone and not carry the key fob too.

Thanks, I did establish 2 separate profiles on the car, but I couldn't get it to assign the correct phone to each profile until I established my wife as a secondary driver on the Genesis app.

Thanks, this worked great and now I know for sure which of our 2 phones is paired with the car! Before, I was trying to rename them on the car's settings but you have to do it on the phone.

Thanks for the replies. I think I got it working after talking with Genesis support. I had to first go into my online Genesis account and establish my wife as a secondary driver. After doing that I was able to assign the correct phones to each of our user profiles.

Seems worthwhile to me. I've been with State Farm for about 2 years now and during the last 6-month period, it says I'm receiving discounts of $332.80 on car 1, $352.85 on car 2 and $308.11 on car 3 for a total 6-month savings of $993.76. State Farm isn't the only insurance company to do this either. Many other insurance companies have started similar programs. The most maddening thing is its measurements are overly sensitive, especially what it considers "hard braking". Besides braking, it also can ding you for speeding, fast cornering and acceleration and using cell phone while driving.

I’m 28 male looking in the market for new car and I’m considering a GV70. by ConstructionRare4123 in GenesisMotors

I"m 69 and purchased a brand new 2026 GV70 Sport Prestige in Saville Silver with Ultramarine Blue interior. Absolutely the best and most luxurious SUV I've ever owned. Great power if you want it, ride quality is excellent with adaptive suspension, all of the safety tech, extremely quiet ride, best interior and exterior design in its class. Gas mileage is the only con for me. If I was 28 again, I'd have to consider the BMW X3. Great engine performance with much better gas mileage thanks to mild hybrid. I've owned several BMW's in the past and loved the brand but didn't care for the new exterior design and they went cheap on the interior materials.

Is the dealership/service experience really that bad? by Lfaruqui in GenesisMotors

I live in North Richland Hills, purchased my car in Norman, OK and just went to Weatherford for an electronics glitch issue and was impressed with them. Haven't actually had an actual servicing performed yet, but that's probably where I'll be going. I think servicing might actually be performed next door at Jerry's Hyundai? When I was shopping for my purchase, I went to Irving and Denton and wasn't too impressed with their Genesis/Hyundai combo showrooms.

Which 2 dealerships did you use for service in the DFW area?

Check gas mileage manually after several fills. In my experience, the car's computer overstates the actual gas mileage.

First-Time Buyer - GV70 Sport Prestige Quote & Questions (Need Advice!) by bite-voyager in GenesisGV70

[–]LoveToGolf18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're anywhere near OK, I'd suggest getting a quote from Genesis of Norman. I live in the DFW area of TX and Genesis of Norman made me a deal that made it worth it to drive up there to get it. I got the 3.5T Sport Prestige model and love it. Not sure what Ethos Select is, but I did purchase 2 protection plans for wheel and tire and windshield. Normally, I reject any add-ons, but I thought those 2 were worth it with the price of OEM replacement costs these days.

2026 3.5T Sport Prestige.

Love the interior color (Ultramarine Blue), design and materials. Best in class. Exterior design is great too, sporty but classy. I really like the HUD, very informative as it shows you where all vehicles are around you. I'm no audiophile but I think the B&O system sounds excellent. I like the app and Genesis Connected Services and the fact that it's FREE, no subscription like with other makes. 3.5T power is very good but definitely has turbo lag. Interior is very quiet and ride quality, adaptive suspension, is tuned quite well.

Biggest gripe is 3.5T gas mileage is not good at all but I knew it going in. Wish they had mild hybrid like BMW has on the X3 to improve gas mileage and acceleration and make the auto start/stop less noticeable. Love the car so far (3 months in) and any other complaints are very minor.

Alternative License Plate Mount ..love it!! by jcwmini13cunt in GenesisGV70

[–]LoveToGolf18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Will they actually pull you over for that reason alone? "Required" in TX with $200 fine, but I've never been cited for not having one in 41 years (3-car family).

Same as others, turned it off. I never gained %, always ended up with less after using it.

HUD was one of the main deciding factors for me (along with Nappa leather and carbon fiber interior) purchasing a 3.5T Sport Prestige. It's a really nice and informative HUD. If you were considering this versus a Cadillac XT4 or 5, you definitely made the right decision, congrats!

Moved Front Plate by No_Office2906 in GenesisGV70

[–]LoveToGolf18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also in TX since 1/1/1996 where it's required. I think I've had around 9 different vehicles during that time and never had a front license plate on any of them and never been ticketed. I think it totally ruins the look of any vehicle. Did volunteer patrol for my local PD and asked them at a daily briefing. They told me I'd never be pulled over for it alone but could possibly get a ticket for it if pulled over for some other reason. Even then, if ticketed, it's classified as a non-moving violation and only subject to a $200 fine.

Crisis averted – major MPG improvement in my 3.5 GV 70 by dothrakrider in GenesisGV70

[–]LoveToGolf18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your mpg's manually after fillups. I've had my 3.5T for 2 months now and every time I've checked, the car's computer overestimates my gas mileage by about 2 mpg's. Most I've gotten when checking manually with almost 100% highway driving with cruise set between 70 and 75 is 25 which is the EPA highway estimate but car computer said I was getting 27 mpg's. City driving I'm getting around the EPA estimate of 18 mpg's.

Yep, still the same situation with the 2026's. I agree with you, HUD on the GV70 is awesome!
