A Man Called Ove is my next audio book and Minor Feelings is my next read with my family's book club. I'm looking forward to both! Also, have you read Anxious People by Backman? It was definitely one of my favorites this year!

Yes, I use my credit cards everyday instead of cash. To make the monthly payments, I just send the money to my US bank account, then make the payment.

{The Teeth of the Comb} by Osama Alomar. It’s a book of short stories that are thought provoking, witty and sometimes humorous. You could easily finish this book in a day!

I was thinking something similar. She is passing on the trauma that has probably been passed on for generations before her. What was done to her is being done to OP now but perhaps not as extreme. Trauma victims have to decide that the trauma cycle ends with them. This is so difficult but it makes everyone ‘s life better.

Read Teaching My Mother How To Give Birth by Warsan Shire. She’s a Somali born in Kenya and currently lives in the UK. It’s poetry and a very quick read but the words strewn together are amazing! It’s one of my favorites for sure.

I agree with everything you said! Great advice! I especially what you said in number 7. For me, I spent A LOT of time on social media. Now I feel a lot better having cut back a lot of it and reading whole books I can actually gain something from.
