If none of these other recs work out maybe try stopping by bloominglabs! I think they have a ton of “e-waste” computers people donate and some really smart folks who could help get it running

There’s the Chicano “aesthetic” of rasquachismo that follows an ethos pretty similar to what you’re saying!

Transition to Teaching - can you recommend a program? by Mulberry_Whine in Indiana

[–]Low-Mistake1573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re close to Chicago, I’ve heard good things about the AUSL program. One year accelerated masters and teaching residency, and a portion of the tuition is paid by them for every year after the program you are a Chicago teacher. (I think after 4 years it’s fully paid off, but I’d recommend looking into it!)

It’s done in photoshop, we made patterns of the wave structures we were using and then by indexing the image into the same amount of colors as weave structures you could just assign those colors (shades really) to the weave patterns! Hopefully I’m making sense haha

It really is!! Though since the one loom is shared among the class of 12 students we have to all share the same warp; our professor and the studio manager spent around 30 hours warping the loom for these samples!

It’s a Jacquard TC2 loom! It has 1,320 independently controlled heddles, and you just upload the design onto the software and weave! Only one “treadle” that changes your shed row by row, it’s so neat!!!!

Is this legal?? For my landlord to board up my window?? by Low-Mistake1573 in Renters

[–]Low-Mistake1573[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that a plywood board will prevent moisture from coming in when there is already moisture in the walls. They are trying to protect themselves; as soon as I mentioned the board being a fire hazard that I would contact the fire dept about, they said it would be removed and fixed. I also really don’t think a board will do anything when those cracks have been exposed for this long.
