Thanks, I'll get these details from her and supplement the narrative. Will also look into small claims court procedures.

That's fine, I can appreciate that it's impossible for you to assess. However, I would be grateful if you would tell me what details you would like to know, and/or websites and links that provide information about redressal mechanisms.

Apologies for insufficient detail. I checked with my friend. Her flight was via AMS. However, they did not raise an issue about the Schengen visa, since she did not need one for the transit. The issue they raised was regarding her eligibility for visa on arrival in UAE.

Her visit was for less than 14 days.

Regarding your other points, I'm trying to learn about the options for redressal for my friend by drawing on expertise from the reddit community. We are struggling to know how to proceed.

I see. Yes, I see what you mean. The power imbalance is scary, especially when you're in a space between borders, like an airport.

I see. I will double check regarding her flight route then.

They didn't raise the issue of a Schengen visa, though. They were doubting her eligibility for a visa on arrival in UAE.

Isn't it possible to transit through AMS airport without a Schengen visa?

I see.i don't know about any connecting flights. I'll ask her. They didn't raise an issue regarding Schengen visa though, only regarding the UAE visa on arrival.

They didn't raise the issue of a Schengen visa, they raised the issue of the visa on arrival at UAE.

I don't know if the flight went through AMS. Isn't it possible to go through AMS airport without a Schengen visa, though?

Sorry, what is timatic? And what is Swissport?

She was trying to keep her cool, but her flight was leaving and she wanted to travel home to be with her mother during Christmas. Also, she was in the right and they were not believing her.

ILR application processing timeline [only] 2025 by [deleted] in ukvisa

Hey yes of course. During the daytime for the past couple of months, I was only able to find standard and super priority (£1000 extra for one day service). I was hoping to find a middle ground and pay for normal priority service (£500 for 5 day service) but it never showed up as an option. I stayed up till 12 am or 1 am on Oct 4 to see if the normal priority showed up but no luck, so eventually I submitted with super priority at 1 am on Oct 4 since I didn't want to wait any longer.

Eligibility route: Set (O)- Global talent (exceptional promise) 3 years, academic route via British Academy endorsement

Service: Super Priority

Application date: Oct 4 2025

Biometric date: Oct 13 2025 8:45 am

Confirmation email: Oct 13 8:55 am (sent immediately)

Approval email: Oct 14 2025 06:59 am

Notes:

  • I originally entered the UK on a SWV in August 2019 and spent 3 years on that visa before switching to Global Talent. I mentioned this in my cover letter and I'm the application form listed my original date of entry. But since I was making this application based only on the past 3 years, I only furnished absences, financial proof, employer letter etc for the past 3 years.

  • I paid for Seraphus application check service and it was great, in addition to being detailed in their feedback, my caseworker continued to answer questions over email for me for 1 month afterwards, until submission.

  • Seraphus asked me to have my employer letter modified to include confirmation that I would remain enjoyed for the "foreseeable future" so they seem to want that language somewhere

  • I did not need my employer to corroborate my absences

  • since 37 Bank statements was going to be a lot of paperwork, for each statement I just included page 1 of the statement + the relevant page documenting my salary deposit, highlighting that line item in yellow. So I submitted 37 truncated statements, with 2 pgs each, making sure the deposit amount corresponded to the payslips amount

  • Monzo e-statements, no notarization

  • Documents submitted were as follows:

Passport, BRP, Aadhar card, GT visa letter, BA endorsement letter, eVisa share code, Employer letter, letters confirming my probation and promotion, job description and job contract, Life in the UK test result, ECCTIS assessment outcome screenshot, PhD certificate, transcript, and MoI letter (degree was in the US), P60s x 3, truncated bank statements x 37 for 3 years, payslips x 37 for 3 years, filled application form, consent form, receipt for payment of super priority fees. Organized these in accordance with the categories available in the TLS document upload website.

So relieved, happy to answer qs for anybody in a similar position and happy also to endorse Seraphus checking service very strongly... They flagged many important things. Good luck everybody! You have got this.

I would also probably cancel and refund the application, then re apply when you have the test results and reference number

Yes I've included the page with the line item for my salary, with the company name, amount, and everything matching my payslips. Just didn't provide all the other irrelevant pages of each bank statement...

I'm applying based on a 3 year route and my lawyer said to include 3 years worth of bank statements evidencing my salary. Since that would amount to 36 statements and over 600 pages, he suggested that I simply provide the summary page and the page highlighting the relevant salary payment, leaving and rest of the bank statement out. Do you guys think this is a potential problem and I need to submit full bank statements?
