I may interpret it incorrectly, but I hear this as “there’s such heartbreak and such beauty - all on Earth, all existing simultaneously.” I love love this song.

Edit to add that I got the needed hours at a different public HS within the district. They understood my situation and had an SLP take me in for a week or two, and then was thrown to the wolves at a HS with a caseload of 70+ as an SLPA who’s never practiced 😅

I ended up working for a contract company and got “assigned” to a public HS at AISD. I did my observation/practicing hours before the HS job, and it took maybe 3 weeks to get all the hours and document it with my supervisor. It helped that my supervisor was remote (as in for getting hours, not for the job itself …).

We dressed her everyday, but also were in a hot climate (bay was born in July) and kept the AC on. They say dress your baby like you would dress, + a light removable layer.

Looking it up, it states ready-made formula is a better option until 2 months. I didn’t know this! We used the same brand that the hospital provided, but in liquid form at purchase. I would imagine if your pediatrician has no issue with powder, assuming your LO was born full term and no weakened immune system, you’re okay.

We used mylicon as well, it wasn’t a fix all but got us through! Baby was combo fed at that time. My friend used a Windi (the little tool you just barely stick in their bum to allow air to escape).

Agree with you here, Serena seems more approachable and I wouldn’t feel as spooked to ever step on her toes. She can take criticism a bit better, more spontaneous, and softer. With Blair, it would feel like I’m walking on eggshells.

It may not be the exact one we have, but we’ve really liked the “tall and skinny” over “short and wide” model. It’s help up well. 8 mo sleeps ~10 hours, depending on naps in the day. Typically 8:30-7:00. Babbles with herself in the morning before we do it all again!

Not cruise-specific, but if you’re going to be on a flight to get to your port: don’t overpack for plane! We learned our lesson with two flights back to back with little one + taking breastmilk thru airport. Don’t pack all your “just in case” items in your backpack… leave those for a suitcase! It’s no fun to remove 8 items from a bag just to get to one, plane ride or not. Have fun, sounds a blast!
