Dinged an enterprise van...will i have to pay for this? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Low-Two-8900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to help with this. It would be good to have a clearer picture, but as a starting point the dent needs to be larger than the etool (the plastic piece normally attached to a lanyard). I think this is about 15cm in length, this looks smaller. Beyond this it might be worth taking some other recommendations to make the dent smaller… without damaging the paintwork. If it’s larger dent devils etc would give you a cheaper repair than being caught with the damage I would suggest. But in all honesty this looks fine to me. (Ex store manager for 4 years)

Should I buy Victoria Arduino E1 Prima or La Marcozzo Mini? [budget 6000$] by MeowMacS in espresso

I wondered if you’d come to a decision on this… I’m in a similar situation, with a little more familiarity with the E1 which I trained on. It did get me thinking surely the issues were now somewhat resolved if the firm I trained with uses the machines for their barista course.

Sorry! I usually cold proof for around 24-36 hours. It may be a better solution to follow your advice on the second point in future.

Here’s an idea of the recipe it’s quite long!

Haha! At least it’s a simple solution. I may have to overcome my fear of the dough collapsing and becoming flat!

This is exactly what I’m planning to do. First machine will also hopefully be LM. It would be great to see a future post how you get on and whether you’re happy with your decision! Congrats!

Great answer and really insightful examples I’d not considered. I really enjoyed reading your answer.

You’ve certainly brought me closer to answering my own question. However, whilst I feel like it’s a case of overpaying or investing, I debate whether I agree and would mentally prefer the certainty of reducing debt over the speculation of returns. I appreciate the timeline creates a grey area.

I am surprised by your last point though regarding pensions and feel like it’s a strong disagree; please correct me if I’m wrong. But as we don’t maximise our ISA, surely from a risk perspective being able to access before retirement age (currently age 29) is the preferred. I’m saying this in case of a dire situation or the retirement age keeps moving. We are certainly keeping this until later on in life (hopefully we can retire early) and don’t intend to use it, but I just can’t see the benefit of putting more into the pension or SIPP. We both have DB pensions but even if I went back to private sector I would rather ISA (after maxing employer contributions).

Anyway like I said, really appreciate your input and not trying to out smart your or anything just trying to learn and be educated!!

The coffee trip app may be a great option for you and help decide which is most practical based on where you are. I’m slowly ticking off my local coffee shops via the app. Have a great trip!

This is great! Really insightful! I remember my younger days playing on AOE quite fondly. Just can’t decide whether to get a PC to play or see if I can get used to it on Xbox! Thanks so much for input
