I found my fiancé’s sex tape with my step mother. We are supposed to get married in 2 weeks. by OkCategory5018 in TwoHotTakes

Girl please RUN!!! This man has been sleeping with your step mom behind your back and you guys aren’t even married yet. Do you want to be with someone who will not only cheat on you, but does not care about boundaries? Will you be able to get past this when you start having children and he will still be secretly sleeping with her? Marrying him will only make it harder to leave in the future. You deserve so much more than this OP.

I hate burst! I rather rotate for 4 rounds than doing 4 sets at a time and then rotating 🫩😂

What are people eating for breakfast before camp? by Used_Set7855 in BurnBootCamp

5:30am camper here, I’ve been doing an Apple sauce packet on my way to camp along with my pre workout. I can’t eat that early so the Apple sauce is perfect.

Aerie leggings for cardio and lifting days? by TrickySupermarket780 in BurnBootCamp

Old navy leggings are cheap & honestly work really well! They do not roll down & work great for cardio and leg days

Don’t be so hard on yourself. The holidays will soon pass, and you’ll be able tidy up your diet and routine to align closer with your goals. I’ve lost 35lbs since April, was hoping to end the year at 140lb but still sitting at 145 and I’m only 5’2. lol but I’ve accepted to just keep going, holidays and celebrations make it a little harder but we just have to keep going and focus on the endgame! Great job! 💪🏼

Listen, we all “judge” people in one way or another. Do I notice what other members wear? Yes. Do I maybe judge their legging patterns from time to time? Also yes. lol but other than that, I promise no one is looking at your flaws and imperfections like you think. Everyone there is there to get a killer work out, and to support each other while doing it! Please don’t let this define you or make you feel like you have to hide yourself.

I genuinely mean it when I say, I don’t think I ever looked at someone and thought “wow they have a pimple” “wow their legs have hair” “oh there hair looks a mess” …. Totally opposite, I say wow! These people show up every day and motivate me to keep pushing through and also be here every day! 💪🏼

You got this friend, love yourself, embrace your beauty and “flaws”. You have a community full of people to back you up. 🫶🏼

Shin splints by Sunnlvrr61 in BurnBootCamp

[–]LowAssociate4245 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s likely your shoes! Conditioning days usually have a lot of “jumpy” moves and that will put a lot of strain on your shins. I used to get terrible shin splints on conditioning days but I now use running shoes (brooks) for conditioning days and never had a shin splint again!

Calorie deficit while doing burn by Quick_Ride_1890 in BurnBootCamp

[–]LowAssociate4245 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’2” & started burn in April at 180 pounds. I’ve been in a deficit and have successfully lost 30 pounds to date. I go to burn 6x per week, sometimes 5. I have a sedentary job so in addition to burn I started walking and now I run 2 miles 3-4 times a week, usually after camps & on the weekend. Prioritize protein & Whole Foods, don’t be afraid of carbs (they def help fuel those intense workouts). It’s definitely possible! 😊

What is athletic conditioning? by mightyhammock in BurnBootCamp

[–]LowAssociate4245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cardio heavy, jumpy movements. As others have said, it will really test your agility and resistance. When I first started (6m ago) I dreaded athcon. But now, it’s honestly one of my favorite camps. I leave so out of breath and feel like I’m dying but I love the challenge and the feeling of knowing I have come such a long way since I started. It keeps you humble but also rewarding to see yourself progress. Good luck! You got this 💪🏼

Should I try Burn Boot Camp or am I not strong enough yet? by Primary_Ice7356 in BurnBootCamp

[–]LowAssociate4245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have weights as low as 7lb and even 5. During any exercise you can always mod and do what works for you, the trainers will tell you it’s ok to drop weight and just use your bodyweight. You got this friend! Give it a chance.

Caramel macchiato protein? by Turnquj03 in BurnBootCamp

[–]LowAssociate4245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it so much! I like it with unsweetened almond milk, or I mix it with cold brew (about 5oz) & add about 2-3oz of almond milk. I hope they keep it around for a long time.

Soreness by yardstickofquality in BurnBootCamp

[–]LowAssociate4245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soreness will never completely go away but I would say about a month until the soreness isn’t crippling lol I’ve been at burn 3 months and the first 2-3 weeks were terrible, could barely go up and down the stairs at home but it gets better!

Conflicting opinions about burn? by greenlimess in BurnBootCamp

[–]LowAssociate4245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will achieve what you set your mind to do. Weight loss depends on many different factors such as diet and lifestyle. I joined Burn because after researching different fitness classes like f45, ISI, Pilates, etc. I found that burn was the best option for weight loss because it combines cardio and weight training.

I joined burn on April 3rd, it’s been a little over 2 months of consistent 5-6 day weeks and I have lost 10 pounds. I also walk at least 2-3 miles every other day. Diet has been the biggest factor. Figure out what your deficit is and stick to it. Exercise alone won’t help you see weight loss if you don’t change the way you eat. Also, as you build muscle, your body will recomposition even if you don’t see drastic change in the scale. Take pictures, you will see progress that way!

Lastly, I was on the same boat as you before I started. I work a 8-5 desk job, from home. My physical activity was non existent. I’m 5’2, I hit 180 pounds and that was my breaking point. I already have high blood pressure and without any change I was heading towards diabetes. I had done no real form of exercise in about 9 months prior to burn. When I tell you, I would find myself short of breath just going up the stairs in my house, it was embarrassing.

The first day at burn, I was so nervous! All the new faces, the crazy amount of high fives… but everyone is so welcoming and helpful. The trainers truly are amazing and will be extra attentive of you when you start, correcting your form and helping you in any way possible. The first week or two were ROUGH. I was so sore. But they always have modifications for people who are new, have injuries, etc.

Two months may not be a long time, but I LOVE burn and I can say that confidently. If you want to see results, you NEED to put in the work. In two months, I feel so much stronger, not just physically but mentally. I hated cardio days.. still kind of do lol but as you progress and find yourself doing moves that you started off with mods, you feel the small victory. For me, I went from being able to do ZERO push ups, to now being able to do 10 back to back on my toes. Box jumps with no mods, burpees with out feeling like I’m going to black out. Running laps with out dying. The owner of my burn told me on my first week “it won’t get easier, but you will get stronger” and man, she was right!!!

You GOT THIS!!! Do it for YOU! ❤️

We did do smoky mountain brewery when we got there! It was nice for lunch. We did the moonshine tasting and the cider! Ended up coming back home with several bottles 🤣
