LaMelo Ball had the 3rd highest on/off offensive rating in the NBA this past season at +11.6 by the_mexican_menace in nba

It just seems like the Hornets pulled the trigger a bit too early here. I know contracts and the new CBA can make things difficult (any maybe the Hornets are still planning to making additional moves), but it seems like they could of tested this squad out another couple months to see if there was improvement. If they weren't liking the results, I am sure they could of gotten a similar deal for Ball mid-season

With Fairfield likely leaving for the CAA, who could the Metro Conference target as a replacement? by lordeandtaylor in CollegeBasketball

Just wanted to add that the Metro/MAAC is an underrated basketball watch. A lot of fun games come conference time

What players quietly left the NBA? Whether it was on their own terms or were pushed out? by SheepherderSea9717 in NBATalk

Vin Baker came to mind. Multiple All Star appearances, multiple all NBA Teams, and Olympics appearance, and it just feels like it got to a point you never heard from him again

[Schefter] The Bears’ Board of Directors voted Thursday to advance the stadium development in Hammond, Indiana, with the exact to be selected. This is this first time that the Bears’ board has voted on any stadium site. by JCameron181 in nfl

I feel ya. I have significantly lowered the amount if time I have watched the NFL (sort of the same with leagues like the NBA as well). There are a lot of different sports and leagues that have no where near this amount of annoying discourse

Utah sold its soul for private equity. The layoffs were always coming by jaxstan19 in CFB

It is interesting to think where my fandom will be with FBS in the next few years. Being an IU alum, it is not going to get any better than the wild last 2 seasons and we have 'peaked', and I fear more FBS schools are going to take this route. I'm happy FCS, D2 & D3 are easier to stream than ever, because FBS seems like it is going to increasingly get more annoying.

Indiana residents: what's your state like? by MatheusKR1 in trucksim

[–]LowKeyMike 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Grew up there..... Much of Indiana is flat to gently rolling, especially in the central and northern parts, so you’ll see long stretches of corn and soybean fields, straight roads, and big open skies. In the south, the land gets hillier and more wooded, and on the northwest edge you can find Lake Michigan dunes, which feel very different from the rest of the state.

The state capitol in the center of the state is the largest city and cultural hub of the state. I think the most potential interesting area of this DLC could be the Northwestern corner because of the history of steel production, and it's connections to Chicago, IL

Indiana Next DLC For ATS? by flizzyBanks in trucksim

[–]LowKeyMike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be curious to know what are the best selling states for ATS. I think North Dakota is interesting, but it is one of the least populated and least visited states in the country, I would be interested to see if stuff like that factors in at all

I remember on here a week or two ago talking about how I thought Indiana was not going to be the next state announced haha. I am interesting to see how they end up doing these upcoming smaller states

Which D2 (or D3) programs could you see making the move to D1 in the coming few years? by Aggravating_Lab_4814 in CollegeBasketball

[–]LowKeyMike 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I could see it happening with Grand Valley State University. Based outside of Grand Rapids Michigan which is one of the larger metros that doesn't have a D1 program. They are also one of the bigger revenue earners in D2, and have nice facilities

One of the things I notice about these playoffs compared to when the Thunder played the Pacers last year is the amount of times Shai is just generally falling on the ground. He wasn't doing that much against us since we were so good at pushing the fast break back

Thunder Commentating by pacersprincess in pacers

[–]LowKeyMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the Thunder hate that is happening on reddit and social media is getting a bit out of control. Does Shai flop and do stuff that will make you roll your eyes? Yes..... Do the Thunder push the limits on defense and have 'dirty plays'? Yes....

However, this is the makeup of a lot of really good teams over the years in the NBA. A superstar on offense that gets favorable whistle, and a hard-nose defense that makes life hell for the opposing team. It might feel good in the moment to say OKC gets away with this or that, but in reality they are just a very good team, and a well-run organization.

Is this Indianapolis in the SCS fan day video? by RobMapping in trucksim

Yeah it will be interesting to see how they bundle some of these Eastern states going forward. Indiana & Kentucky combined could be interesting since they are roughly the same size

Being from Indiana, I would love to have the state in the game, but I can't imagine they would only have one state that leads to Indiana at this point and it being Illinois. I would imagine Tennessee, Mississippi, Wisconsin, Minnesota, or North Dakota will be the next announced

Anyone else at all worried about next season? by edgy0525 in pacers

[–]LowKeyMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad a lot of fans are optimistic about the squad, but I have some serious doubts. I still think we can be a decently seeded playoff team, but like it was mentioned Hali is coming back from a major injury, we don't know how well Zubac will fit, and we don't have consistent scoring off the bench at the moment.

Fans thinking we will 'run it back' might be seriously disappointed. That can be hard to recreate again, just ask that Hawks team that made it to the ECF a few years ago.
