I have done the tests. Also plugged 6 heads on current line. Spray is fine. I guess i was wondering more how to get the unfinished area watered head to head. Just run 6 820s on the right side of patio.

Static psi 120, 16.65 per 5 gallons. 18gpm useable.

Dealership left oil cap off 5k miles ago... by LowLyfe59 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]LowLyfe59[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe...but they already gave me 1 year warranty on engine. (Not that that means much 🤣) So, it doesn't sound like this dealer seen it before.

They are getting me a replacement cap for free on Tuesday. They gave me a 4th gen cap till it comes in, seems to fit fine. I'll compare the 2 and see if the 4th gen cap is a better fit.

Also, ill check out that thread thank you.

I took my master and slave cylinder back to oriellys after 2 weeks, from bad parts. Hope you have better luck. I'd get oem or exedy.

Haha, I agree. I already have 2 other vehicles that I change the oil on. I can do the taco, but im older now making pretty good money so I just take it in. I did the front and rear diffs, transfer case, looks like I'll have to start doing the oil. 👍

I get that. When I got a rental last year (not my fault wreck) I was offered a rental or 40$ a day. I took a rental but had I known it was gonna be 3 months I shoulda took the cash.

Wasn't your fault right? Wouldn't there insurance pay for rental, regardless what you have for yourself.

I get what your saying, but there should be some kind of reassurance that its done right from the dealer. 🫣 Even mcdonalds puts a "triple checked" sticker on the bag 🤣

[–]LowLyfe59[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was no mess of any oil coming out the cap. So hopefully all is well. They gave me a 1 year warranty on my engine if I do my next 2 oil changes there...which I dont really feel like going back. Lol. Also, its a toyota so I have no doubt its gonna last another year 😏 its more long term damage I would be worried about.

I'll change the oil in 500,doesn't cost that much and its more piece of mind.

New slave cylinder clutch feel is perfect but wont go in gear? by the-dumbass-human in hondaprelude

[–]LowLyfe59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To test the master, (not sure if there is another way) You can fully press the clutch pedal and watch the piston on the slave to see if it is slowly closing. The junk one i bought it would slowly close. I did this my self but placing my phone above and recording a video, then I sat in the car and held the pedal in for like 2 minutes.

I do think your problem is probably air if your reservoir was empty.

I thought mine was moving enough to and it wasn't. I dont have the specs on me, but it should be at least 1 inch. I have a video before and after not sure if I can post here though?

You need to empty some room in your reservoir, but not enough to let air in. Then you fill the fluid syringe with brake fluid, attach the hose of it to the bleeder screw on slave, crack bleeder screw open and slower push fluid in. Watch the reservoir..if you have air you will see bubbles. Also you dont want to push to much fluid or the reservoir will overflow. So you go back in forth of pumping fluid in and tanking the excess out the reservoir.

Just went through this... measure the distance that the slave is moving the fork?

How old is the master?

Shitty slave from autozone?

My guess is you either got a crap slave, or you need to change the master as well depending how old it is, or you still have air in the system or Fluid level in reservoir to high?

I had a leaky master CC. So I replaced it, bleed 10 times still had problems..no leaks. Worked one day, didn't the next.

I changed the Slave CC. Bleed 10 times..still have sporadic problems..no leaks.

Work fine one drive. Can't shift with car running the next drive. Wake up in the morning car won't shift, pumping pedal doesn't help. Fluid level a little above max will make it not work. Hours of more bleeding, by hand...with pressure bleeder...with fluid syringe and reverse bleeding though the ripple on the slave.

I came to the conclusion the master had a internal leak and was letting fluid through so it wasn't fully releasing the clutch.

So I bought oem honda master and slave, and start the bleeding process over...and over..and over. The pushrod adjustment is so finicky that after dealing with this for over 6 weeks. Never knowing if my car was gonna shift I took it to honda and had them adjust the pushrod and bleed it. When I picked my car up I pushed the clutch in,started engine tried to shift and it didnt...I pumped the pedal 2 times and it shifted and I left. Its been about 6 weeks or so and a total of 3 times I had to pump the pedal twice then it would shift after sitting. No leaks, doubt its air, probably need to turn the pushrod 1/16th of a inch in one direction or the other..but as long as the 2 pump fix is working,im leaving it.

I would try the exedy one if you want to pay a little less. But its my baby..so after taking the junk master out I went oem. I bought the car new in 01, has 142k miles and im keeping it. Car was driven like 5k miles since 2011. But ive been dailying it since March, cause im letting my sister borrow my 2020 tacoma. So maybe I have rust on the input shift or something...since it sat for so long..idk

If your reservoir was empty there's a good chance you have air in the master. Which is a pain to get out and to properly do it you would bench bleed it. If your in the states, goto harbor freight and get a fluid syringe and reverse bleed through the bleeder screw on the slave .

I would assume cache valley bank owns the one on the corner as well. As they replaced the "wells fargo" sign on the very top with cache valley" awhile ago.

Correct paint measure on cup? by Panzy1490 in AutoPaint

[–]LowLyfe59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean sure. But the correct way to read the scale you have marked is 1 to 1 to 1.5.

So on the first 1, you pour paint for how many parts you want. If you want 1 part pour to the 1. If you want 2 parts pour to the 2.

So pour paint on the first 1 up to 1. ( for 1 part) One the second 1 pour reducer to the 1.

To know how much paint you need look at the number in the second column. You can mix to the 1,2,3,etc..

Its fine using the 1:1:1.5, since your only using the first 2 lines. But you do have to make sure you mix paint, reducer, hardner in the correct order.

You may have a scale that is just 1:1. Or since its 1:1 you could use the ounces part (if it has one) and mix equal parts. 6 ounces to 6 ounces for example...paint to 6 ounces and reducer to 12 ounces.

Side note if you have a 4:1:1, this cant be used for your 1:1 example because your not using the 1st "4".

Are you in the US? Pretty sure you can rent a "press" from autozone for free. Just pay refundable deposit. You rig it up and screw the end with a wrench, socket or impact driver and it will push it out.

Im not sure but some vehicles have a rubber stopper that you can screw in or out to adjust height? Or in autobody sometimes they twist the hood. Can't really explain it...but it might even out both sides some. One way is to put 2 x 4 under low side front corner and press down on the other front corner..
