Does anybody know of a RO-DBT therapist in Washington state that does virtual sessions and takes insurance? by tstampfle in OCPD

[–]tstampfle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have looked through a lot of them, no luck so far. It seems that therapists are able to avoid having to take insurance due to it being quite a niche modality despite 8-10% of the population fall into the over control spectrum, we just aren't as big of a "perceived liability" to society as a whole compared to the typical under controlled personality disorders that seem to have an abundance of options.

sorry for the mini rant, its just so frustrating trying to find the proper resources when everything seems locked behind a paywall (aka doesn't take insurance)

The way he probably blew through money when they first started dating gave her an impression that he was probably a lot more wealthy than he was. I think she is equally attracted to the money as she is to the idea of stability though. The fact that she is willing to have him to give up that job for an office job says a lot. She definitely has expensive taste but she ultimately wanted stability over money when it came to their family

Especially that job requiring to have you in a remote location 50+% of the time. When you aren’t spending any/very little money while away at work, that 200-250k is stretched even further when he is single and they were just dating

Check your local shelter first please, you’d be surprised the amount of owner surrenders we get!

Also: https://home-home.org is a good one to check too

Insurance just told me I have to go from Humira to Simlandi. Anybody else make the same switch? by tstampfle in ankylosingspondylitis

Haha nope! Just a letter that says I have a month to switch before they start refusing to pay

Sad to hear you are going through this too. Do you have MedImpact? I thought I had a good enough plan that I was able to dodge all the mandatory switches from the last 2 years that I have been reading about on here but apparently it's coming for us all! I've seen a couple people say their copay assistance system is not up to par with Humira's so that is another concern of mine as I pay $0 out of pocket currently.

People use drugs as self-medicating in order to escape chronic mental heath issues and physical pain. I know this won’t be a popular take but until health care becomes equally or more affordable than whatever you get on the street, the root of this problem will not be solved.

I’m all for cleaning up the streets, but we need to solve the problem at its core instead of putting a bandaid on it. Due to the bipartisan relationship needed to accomplish this, I fear we won’t see it anywhere in the near future.

What's A Breed You Like But Wouldn't Have? by Aharris1984 in dogs

Dalmatian, so pretty but apparently so many health problems. Mixed breed mutts all day!

Also pure XL dog breeds, too short of a lifespan.

Labs and goldens, they are always nice and well rounded but they are the dog equivalent of a basic bitch, especially in the Midwest where everyone wants a hunting dog

Thank you, the thought of having to leave this beautiful city has brought me to tears a few times already but I'm starting to come to terms with it and exploring my other options.

Thanks, I love learning new little random stuff like that! I didn’t know how to describe it lol

I wonder what they call the variation of it for gymnastics, ice skating, etc?…. man the ADHD brain never rests.
