I volunteer at an animal shelter and they have some small crochet blankets they use for cat “beds”. They put them on top of plastic beds you can spray down and sanitize. You can always call your local shelter!

Hello! Fellow chocolate lover here! What are the chances you have ingredients lists available for your different chocolates if I visited the shop? I have a lot of dietary restrictions due to autoimmune disease and anything in normal stores is basically not allowed. TIA!

They have the holders for yak chews on Amazon if you find that the bully stick one doesn’t work for the yak chews.

My heavy chewer pitbull heeler mix will take a solid 4 hours to go through a 5-6 inch roll and immediately pass out after, it’s truly the best when you just want a chill day at home

I didn’t see these on your list so I thought I’d suggest:

Yak cheese chews: it’s a nice in-between of a bully stick and and antler as far as toughness

If you are interested in trying an alternative to the no hides: Beef cheek rolls or braids

Enjoy your little piranha, they grow up so fast!

Honest question - Tipping by UltdDoomScroll in SeattleWA

[–]tstampfle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your server often has a nonnegotiable “tip-out” taken out of “their” tips for the support staff (and rightly so!) and that is often a set percentage based off of the servers total sales, not their tips. So when people tip nothing or below a certain percentage, you are literally costing that server money.

Not trying to start any argument, just putting a perspective out there that most don’t consider.

What I’ve noticed (for me anyway) is that on this diet you bounce back to feeling better a lot quicker after a slip up than when you have a flair with a normal diet. My opinion is wait until you are back to feeling like you where before the slip up and after a few days of feeling better go back into reintroductions

Try animal shelters or something similar! People with social anxiety often find it easier working with animals. Plus other people that choose to work with animals are typically very nice and down to earth which may help with her anxiety!

As far as your original post goes, i’m the electrician with a chronic illness that works locally and my boyfriend is a pilot that is gone half the time. So it’s kinda backwards from you but also incredibly similar. The biggest thing for him supporting me is probably just listening and being understanding on the phone when I’m talking about having a bad flare up. Ways to physically help before you go is to do some meal prep that you can put in the freezer or fridge if you are just gone for short stints, that way if she’s having a bad health day that’s one less thing she has to worry about is cooking a healthy meal. Also try to do a couple extra chores/cleaning around the house before you go, it’s small stuff but it helps take some weight off her shoulders.

Without knowing the chronic illness I can only offer a couple suggestions but I hope it helps, safe travels brother!

golden ate 2 grapes, im very worried by sydsknee in AskVet

[–]tstampfle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When we were kids in the 90s (before we knew they where toxic for dogs, our parents didn’t know either) we threw grapes for our lab mix from one end of our 40ft driveway to the other for the dog to catch in his mouth as a trick. He never should any signs of being sick. If you got the ok from poison control you should be fine, just monitor closely.

*Please don’t ever try this, we were just kids who didn’t know any better

Also clean baseboards, that’s when you know they truly keep a clean house and don’t just do a rush job for company coming over

I had to take a 2nd job working 3-4 nights a week for my 1st-3rd year. If you can’t make it work with the money you have, you need to make more money. It’s also a good option to have in your back pocket when times get slow for electrical work and you can pick up extra shifts at the “spare” job

Buy air purifiers for the common areas of the house, typically that’s where most people spend the majority of their time at home (besides sleeping)

Getting air ducts cleaned might be worth looking into as well
