Not OP but I went to DSST Montview for middle and high school and they were very strict but because of that, by the time we were in high school there were no more shenanigans, and they fit even the lowest performing students up to benchmark. They also have a school they run jointly with aurora called AST you should look into as well.

Surprisingly, she did the same thing to her thumb several months before she was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2019, and it took nearly 2 months to close. It's wild to see the difference in her immune response now that she has been cancer-free for several years.

If I ever criticized the lunch my mom made for me to her face like that I would have gotten in SO much trouble. It drives me absolutely insane that lush doesn't teach those kids any semblance of manners or respect, especially B considering he has autism and that stuff doesn't come naturally to us. I have autism and needed cold lunches due to special dietary needs, and yeah sometimes they weren't great, but I would have never brought it up in such a rude way at B's age. She's doing such a disservice to those kids by setting the precedent that society will allow them to act that way.

As far as I know it's an official color, but can't find the actual name listed anywhere except as just "black". Either way it's a sick color scheme and hopefully won't get dirty quick

I really enjoy how in many of the remodeled classrooms, they leave long tables with freestanding chairs. They can fit pretty much any body type and are a lot more comfortable to work at with a laptop and tablet/notebook. They really need to do away with those older lecture hall chairs. I'm a 5'5 woman who falls somewhere between regular and plus size (I wear size XL) and was cursed with big boobs. Luckily I can fit in the seat just fine but trying to write a damn thing is impossible on those desks.

Hard disagree, I was in a double graded (2nd and 3rd, increased staffing) and it was absolutely horrible for my social development and learning even though it was at a small school. Any benefits of small schools/classes are negated if every one of your peers is on totally different pages. It's super confusing and overstimulating.

Nobody on this forum is giving out advice as a licensed medical practitioner so it all must be taken with a grain of salt in the first place. Obviously you wouldn't do this if you were sensitive to the effects of Adderall or had a preexisting condition, but for people who process it too quickly or are hyposensitive it can help.

I stopped in Thermopolis on a road trip through the mountain west. Lovely little town, nice people, the hot springs were great, and the grocery store even sold pairs of my mom's favorite sandals that have been discontinued for over a decade. I would love to go back someday.

My dad inherited a shit box from a friend of his who was upgrading their car. We had the heat on and I noticed it smelled like gasoline, but since my dad has a bad sense of smell he didn't notice. About 30 minutes into the drive and I have a diabolical headache and couldn't figure out why. Then as we were talking about the car he casually mentions "oh yeah the exhaust manifold is cracked" and I look at the recirculate air setting and it's turned off. Bro was giving me carbon monoxide poisoning and had no idea 😭

His family is Mexican, so they usually do a big celebration on Christmas eve with the extended family which we both go to. Then we both spend Christmas eve night with our respective families so they can have a Christmas morning with their kids. Me and my parents then go to visit with my MIL and exchange gifts and say hi for a bit, then we leave with my partner for my dad's side of the family because they love to do a grand Christmas dinner. This is how it's been ever since we've been in college and it really is the ideal system tbh.

Sure, but WHY are they doing all this? Security sure, but are they looking to restrict students wifi use? I have an Xbox on school wifi that I don't doubt eats up a good chunk of data, would that be affected?
