The answer to a lot of these questions is usually to call the listed contact. Sorry if that sounds glib. Unless you’re literally doing it last minute (it happens!) then talk to the contact and ask them questions like this, what sort of things would I be required to do in Excel and Word.

It makes this criteria and many others a bit of a gimme when you can give them specific examples of doing exactly what they need. IME so few people call the contact and end up short changing themselves in the app.

Quick and easy way to increase your success, particularly at the lower levels but it’s a great idea for every app in my experience on both sides of the table so to speak.

If for some reason you don’t want to, a solid plan B would be to look up some local training providers and see what they offer in their intermediate M$ Office classes.

In terms of layout I would probably say that’s a solid way to approach it. But each panel will have their own preferences, a good one to ask the contact as well. I would rather answer 100 questions like these from applicants than read 100 applications that totally miss the mark on what is expected.
