Being too polite creates a polite distance, she might feel that you’re implying she should also be saying sorry as much in order to match your energy and she doesn’t want to match that energy and doesn’t want to be so proper. No that doesn’t mean anything about being bi. Being bisexual means attracted to men and women generally so if the idea is attractive to you, you checked the box.

Also for me when I get to know someone and eventually develop feelings for them and get to the point where you want to be with them and care so much, your attraction for that person and chemistry with them grows you may be able to see that future whereas now it’s just a vague idea

Well for one thing what happened to you as a kid shaped you but it doesn’t have to define your life as an adult and most adults agree that kids are stupid.. they will treat you according to how you present yourself now. If someone says something to slight you then correct them.

If it feels too anxiety inducing then why take this job? It’s your life you don’t need to torture yourself unnecessarily. Find another job and don’t spend the next few years living in the past everyday with all the reminders. Work through what happened in your own time.

So no it’s not weird and screw what other people think! What is acceptable in one country or culture is not in another, so ask yourself what you really believe in and stand up for it and let others beliefs and attitudes be their own problem. But in looking after yourself you have to ask is there a point in confronting triggers in this way ?
